It's OK...a bit pricey and they make you fire slowly...no quick firing.

My experience is they have a very friendly staff and are nice folks. I always walk out of there learning something new. Plenty of people there that can show you how to clean A 1911. If you can go during the weekday when they aren't too busy, nights and weekends the place gets pretty full.

Whoa, Donnie is their handgun instructor? Damn. He was the SCPD armorer and on their SWAT team for pretty much ever back in the day. Nice guy. Knows his ****.

I've taken a class with Don Lazarini, their handgun instructor there. He knows what he's doing. You can rapid fire and use holsters if you take their classes. I took a 1911 class there taught by John Jardine and it was excellent. I've found the employees to be very friendly.

Watch a youtube video for break down. For an indoor range around here its one of the better ones. TM west is the worse. They have classes buy I havnt seen any running for a while now. Call to check, also I like that they keep an eye on the people on the range for saftey concerns.

I can't say enough good things about Reed's.

Reed's has a knowledgeable and friendly staff.

The range is better than most of the other indoor ranges I've been to and it's really the best in the bay area that I know of.

My wife and I took Rick Moy's beginning handgun training and our "groups" went from "maybe hit the paper" to actual groupings!

Even during the gun run of 2012, they kept their cool professionalism during the insanity.

Monday is League Night so it can be crowded.

Wednesday is ladies night, 5$ lane discount and 50% off one rental gun.

Yes, I have been coordinating a monthly shoot there for almost a year now. (Wow, how time flies ).

Very decent range (especially when compared to TM). Friendly folks, and a well stocked shop. Various classes are available, but since I've never taken one there I can't speak to the quality. But as I recall, they are always full.

The next meet up will probably be the third Tuesday in July. As dazed mentioned, I will post up the details in the San Jose chapter forum, as well as the ladies forum and the shoots, meet ups forum. Will probably post up the thread in the next few days. Keep an eye out in one of those forums...

Great Place. Its pretty much my home range.
Prices are high as to be expected at a brick & mortar, but I buy a few things now and then just to support them.
They have a great handgun selection for their size.

This is about it in a nutshell.

Very good range. Very well run. A lot of room behind the individual lanes. The new gun selection is very good. They carry high-end Wilson's and Les Baer 1911s. Staff is excellent and prices are good. They also have an NRA first steps pistol class which I took several years ago. It is taught by Bill Tidwell and it is very good instruction. They have a lot of variety for their rental guns. I would go there more often but I live up in Martinez. I highly suggest the NRA first steps pistol class for any new shooter.
