After much frustration setting up and shooting some steel plates on some fairly crummy stands my brother had made I bought the stand brackets and hangers from these guy's at the last gun show. I use conduit for the pipes because its light and its cheap.

So much easier to set up. No more ropes, straps or chains breaking. No more wood pieces eaten up due to spalling. No pounding stuff into the rock hard dirt.
