Back in the old days we would have made 2 trips to the store when this happens! Irked me to no end. Time/money down the drain.

(Although a return label would be nice)

They are an online retailer, I wouldn't expect them to invest the time and money into evaluating the merits of each product that they offer.

It's always a good idea to search for reviews online before buying, or buy a product from a manufacturer with a solid rep.

I've been buying from midway for 15+ years without issue. Their prices aren't the lowest, but they stock a lot of stuff and ship promptly.

op, i think if you search these forums you will find that most of us absolutely hate midway for one reason or another. my hate stems from shipping incorrect parts and basically wasting my time when i should have gone through a trusted dealer rather than the cheapest.

My experiences with them were really good.
Everything shipped out quickly and worked fine.

From the reviews of the product you posted, second review that I found:

The sizing chart has a ton of info missing, so I had to look around a ton of websites and even call midway USA to confirm that this was the right size for my caliber.

I use this for my Howa M1500 in .308. This one bore guide (#15) is a .30 caliber bore guide. And it fits my gun like a glove.

it's got a solid feel to it. And the o-ring seals VERY tightly. So much so that I was worried about the o-ring getting stuck in the gun and falling off the bore guide.
BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Looks like it might be operator error? I do not believe end user error is covered under their return policy, so I can understand why they would like you to pay for its return.

While I do agree I should have checked the manufactures website. I feel like they should better educate their webpage sales person to write information more accurately.

The first product here. In the review box says it's works on a HOWA 1500 308. So I did my research in seeing if other customers had issues or it worked for them. I put a .30 bore brush through and it started flaking off inside the tube. Obviously way too tight.

              How am I entitled?
You do understand that Midway probably only puts in th description what the manufacture supplies them with.

I order from Midway all the time and will continue in the future. I buy name-brand items with good quality control and good reputations and I've never had a problem. In fact, I'd have to say, Midway is probably one of the better gun related mail-order companies that I've dealt with.

There are still a few of us old farts around that remember those days. Those days did not have tracking numbers so it was always a pleasant surprise when it finally arrived. Most of the time the reaction was I almost forgot I ordered that.

I have always had a great experience with Midway. I also do my homework and check out the product usually going to the manufacturer website.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with midway. I apologize for that mean blonde. I regret your experience with that brunette. Maybe try a redhead, read great reviews about those on the net.

I am kinda surprised Midway doesn't have pre paid returned labels. I have bought a few things from them but since I got what I wanted, didn't give a second thought to their return policy. One would think they would have negotiated a better deal from their carrier. But, maybe it says something about how many times things are returned? So much is being returned that they can't get a better rate and leave it to the customer?

Guess you should have gotten a Remington 700. My ProShot fits perfectly fine.
