    Done with Midway USA

Midway USA has failed me as a customer. I know many of you are saying or will compare Midway to Walmart. But what started off as a good source to buy from ended up buying a huge hassle. I ordered two bore guides from them for my Bolt Action.

First one was supposed to be Possum Hollow for a 308 Howa, I get it in the mail and a .30 cal brush will not FIT. I end up returning that one. I ordered a " universal proshot" one and the locking collar is too thick to be used. Their description list's it as " universal" which is in fact specific to only a handful of rifles.

Worst part is Midway expects you to pay for return shipping. They don't offer a Return Label.

Bottom line they don't know anything about their own product interoperability, or really what they're even selling...

Never had an issue with Midway, ever. I even used a brand spanky new card once and they emailed me to make sure it was actually me doing the ordering and not someone who had gotten a card in my name.
All my .30 cal brushes fit my .308 Howa just fine.

When ordering from any mail order place you need to know all the info before you order about the product. If you do not then the blame is on you. This is not what you wanted to here but is the way I have found it to be.
They cannot be expected to know everything about every product. The people taking the orders are often clueless about firearms/products. They are just office workers and not paid to be product experts.
You need to do YOUR homework before ordering. That could include product reviews, asking around to people you know or the internet and such.
If you are not willing to take the time to research the product then go to a local gun shop and pay the price they charge.

Sorry no sympathy here. The real world can be tuff. The test is given before the lesson

What is with the fad of people "announcing" that they are done or never stepping foot into an establishment? This is like the Calguns version of tweeting selfies, a way to get attention? Is not shopping there anymore too discreet, it must be announced? Whatever, don't care. I've shopped there for almost 10 years and never had a problem.

The bore through the bore guide is small so it can center in the bore. If it is tight, that's about right, on the other hand if the bore is way undersize, then it's a manufacturing error and you should talk to Possum Hollow. I think your issues are with the products not the distributor.

Classic Claguns response. I know plenty about the " real world" if you have not noticed im in EMS. Anyways, if a distributor places a product for sale and a customer is trying to make a informed decision without cross referencing through a bunch of websites. Why am I to blame?

While I do agree I should have checked the manufactures website. I feel like they should better educate their webpage sales person to write information more accurately.

The first product here. In the review box says it's works on a HOWA 1500 308. So I did my research in seeing if other customers had issues or it worked for them. I put a .30 bore brush through and it started flaking off inside the tube. Obviously way too tight.

I thought we learned these lessons long ago. If it says it's universal, it won't fit anything you own.

On a side note. I get a kick out of people complaining that they haven't received their package after 5 days of waiting. They missed out on the days of "allow 4-6 weeks for delivery".

Ordered my CZ97 rubber grips on Thursday from Midway and they arrived today, two days ahead of schedule.

Never a problem and will continue to use Midway.

                          Cheers

I ordered a pair of Volquartsen 10/22 short mags from Midway last night.
At 6:00am today I got an email with a UPS tracking number. At 1:00pm I checked tracking.

                              Your Estimated Delivery Date:
                              Package 1: 06/19/2015

                              Great service!
