I'm a brown person and I have noticed during the four years so far I have dealt with Retting, they respond to me better if I am well dressed and look respectable. I have to admit it takes time to be helped there, regardless, but when they give you their full attention (and you don't ask inane questions) they are helpful and glad to help you complete the sale. They have definitely gotten better, especially since they pack OLL's now

^^^ you have to dress up to go to a gun store? I guess maybe I don't have it so bad at Old West Gun Room.

So what if its the weekend? Does that make it ok to act like a ahole? So basically they're ok anytime except at their busiest time (IE weekends).
I understand that everyone gets a hole customers but YOU as the gunstore employee needs to take every costomer on a case by case basis. just because the guy before me was a idiot how does that make it ok for you to be a jerk when I need help with something?

personally I don't care anymore because i will NEVER shop that store as long as I live and I WILL tell everyone I know NOT to go to their store. Their attitude is IMO so horrid that i personally don't understand how they are still in business.

Whats funny is for a long time they said you cannot buy OLL and AR/EBR and you will go to jail bla bla bla. Will wonders never cease?I guess they are now selling EBRs

Rettings too nice? LOL that made me laugh

I mean... don't go in all dingy wearing dirty sweats and a wifebeater. Wear jeans and a decent looking shirt. Look clean if you're brown. EVERYONE is a racist.

went there last weekend to check out prices. Larger selection than Turners redondo for sure and they had more XDs on sale than turners (unfortunately I had a deposit w/ turners) Might end up checking this place now and then to see prices.

I wish they actually advertised their sales on the website............

I looked through this thread without looking at the dates from the begining and saw posters I hadn't seen in forever!

Has MBR gotten better about OLL's yet? Havent been in there is so long.

I've bought a few guns from MBR, 7 I think, and always have been helped and every time they've been polite. A few of them are cut and dry but helpful. Randy is the best IMO. As far as prices go, their everyday prices beat Turners, is Turners have a sale they'll beat them by $20-$30. Weekends are busy but you'll just have to wait longer. Go early during the week and you'll be in and out in a flash.

They have started selling OLL rifles. Last time (and I mean the last time I will ever go there) I went there about 2 months they had all sorts of OLL rifles like the SCAR, AR's and a bunch of others. The only other place I have seen as good a selection of OLL rifles has been at Ammo bros. But then I haven't been to all the places in orange county.

Yep, I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Saved a bunch of money too......... since they just ignored me. I was going to purchase a handgun but apparently my money wasn't good enough to get any help. I left and vowed to never go back to that place. Oh and it was during the week about an hour after they opened.

                      Martin B. Retting

I was at Retting's this morning and I was treated very well.

I did a PPT, as I said above, all was AOK.

                      Transfer Fee was $35.00.

Prices are tad high, but they have what you want, when no one has the item.

They do qiute a bit of LEO trade.

Now the story on the other side of the coin.

My son,had a bad experience and would not call the Fire Dept., if they were on fire.
