We were there, lots of ammo and reloading, tons of black guns and parts. not much wheel guns. all in all it was not bad.

Not a bad show. Got some powder I've been looking for (Trailboss). Didn't see any holsters I liked for a Shield.
        Oh yeah, bought some jerky!

Wow, the Ventura Show sounds as if it may be coming back to life. That would be nice, maybe I will make it to the next one.

[I] was supposed to deliver a 1911 tm 80% frame and jig to a buddy at show but I thought it was next week. I searched ventura gun show couple days ago and only found old posts.

People forget---it's not just about trying to find some decently priced ammo---it's about meeting old friends and finding something you didn't expect to find---that's why people should attend gun shows because when they're gone, you'll only have the internet and the few gun stores that are left...

^^^^Couldn't agree more. We are heading are way back up from L.A. now and going to swing by just to check it out and support the show. When they go away, everyone will complainers more.

I was there yesterday and other than the reloading components being fairly well stocked, I was slightly disappointed in the show. They managed to completely pack the two buildings, but failed to get enough vendors to open the third. .22LR was still at astronomical prices from both LAX and Miwall. I think they need to drop the price of entry for this show to about $8.

Regardless, I still spent my cash allowance and made a connection to have some custom targets built. A mediocre day at a gun show is still better than not having one to go to at all.

Funny, I've brought back probably 800 rds of .22 long between my last trips to TX and VA and it was cheap. Bought 250 reds in VA for $14.99 and bought 600 rds in TX for $25.99. Those are still a bit higher than it was before the rush but there rest of country seems to know the "shortage" is over, just not CA.

525 count Federal Champion was $59.95 at Miwall, LAX was $59.99 for 500 Remington Thunderbolt.

About the only thing somewhat close to not being completely overpriced was Wolf .22, which is good stuff.

I got lucky at the last Costa Mesa show. Picked up three 525 valupacks for $45 each.
