Does this look like "New" ammo?

I just received an order for new 5.56 M-193 ammo from a company and after opening it up I an not so sure it's new and not reman'd....

I talked with the company and was told this is normal for their "new" ammo...

    What do you guys think?

Have you never seen annealed ammo? Looks fine to me. It's not match ammo they probably just don't polish it to a mirror finish.

In the Corps I've seen ammo that came out of sealed ammo cans look worse than that.

Is it the little dent that bothers you or the tarnish on the lower half of the case?
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

If your photos show the worst of it, I don't see anything there that bothers me. I'd keep it and shoot it.

The guy on the company support line said due to some law they have to pull, inspect, and reload the new stuff when it comes to them from the distributors... He said there would be some dings on the throats due to the bullet puller but that after firing it the pressure would push everything back out...

Let alone what they were doing its not new ammo after that. That company sells reloads. If they are doing that might as well buy the reloads for less money.

The story goes that Clinton signed an executive order that stated that US surplus ammo has to be demilled. So when companies buy lots they pull the components apart and reload them. I've never actually seen anyone be able to post any proof of this executive order.. but thats the story.

I agree with Deadon and onelonehorseman. Seems like some serious BS. Most ammo I have bought has been pretty, except for surplus ammo of course. But that doesn't mean new ammo has to be pretty, as others have said they have received new ammo looking worse.

I don't see how they could make any money doing that. And then, wouldn't it in truth be a reload anyway?

I have never had problems with Freedom Munitions /this is the ammo box pictured on the first post/. There are some people unhappy with their products, not me, I guess I am either lucky or they are GTG.
