Personally, I saw a lot of (deserved) hatred of corrupt Mexican police, not really any hatred of the Mexican people.

I think one can hate corruption and government-sponsored thugs, regardless of country, without being racist. Please don't try to bring up the race card here about that aspect of the earlier posts.

I would go so far as to say that I think governmental corruption is the primary reason that the country of Mexico isn't just as prosperous as the state of California.

Corruption goes on here (USA & CA) too. Trust me, I know. Just in bigger numbers as far as dollar amount goes. But I agree, Mexican cops are punks. But this thread isnt about that.

I was just saying earlier, in response to your comment that "everyone hates Mexico", that the only anti-Mexico sentiment seemed directed at Mexican law enforcement and their shake-down tactics.

Since you agree that Mexican cops are punks, and that's about all that the other folks were saying, I think we're pretty much unanimous then that Mexican cops suck, and nothing negative's been said (so far, at least) about Mexico other than that here.

I just don't get why there is so much animosity against Mexicans and/or immigrants on this site.

I dislike illegals immensely, there is no question of that on this site,I even don't like much of ther legal immigration but I won't get in to that.

However I personally felt that many of the comments here were not truly or only about bashing Mexican LE whcih is justified, I sense some other issues as well...

I have had family and friends killed here in CA (in the USA), but its no reason to start hating on the US.
