Not attacking you but CTD is almost as bad as Obama and Kamala (arse licker) Harris to us Californians. By spending money at cheaper than dirt you are promoting the anti 2A, horrible stomp you into the ground service they provide us. They truely are anti 2a to us Californians. So the bottom line is please don't spend any more money with them. I guarantee you to find better prices than them for your ammo. Just ask here on Cal Guns and you will get many sources that can save you money and are Pro 2A to Californians.NRA Life Member

I don't regret burning some bridges. I regret that some people weren't on those bridges when I burnt them!Comment

Ahhhhh UPS! I just got home to 5 cases of shotgun shells piled at my door even though it was shipped "signature required." So much for my neighbors (apartment bldg) not knowing about my guns!Comment

I worked at UPS for a peak season years and years ago unloading the trailers onto the conveyor belt that got sorted onto the various delivery trucks.
The guys that load the trailers think it's fun to package small heavy boxes on the very top of a stack so that when you grab what you think is the top box and lean it toward you to catch and swing to the conveyor inside the trailer, a box of bolts or ammo hits you in the head and lands on the floor of the trailer.
Hilarious.Comment

An easy way to deter front porch package theft is to order more per order. 4 cases of 9mm taped together, or 2 crates of 7.62x54R LMG/rifle rounds in one brown box.

UPS dropped ammo delivery today
Our old ups driver was great. Our new driver is one that finds tossing boxes fun. Nevertheless, most boxes get abused at every step of the shipping progress. The only thing you can do is box stuff better or get mad at retailers for not properly boxing packages.
Last time I ordered bullets(projectiles only)
Driver:" What did you buy, lead!?"
Me: "Yep"
Then he just stared at me like I was an idiot.Last edited by nachoyumm; 03-13-2015, 5:50 PM.Working on my first AK, a Yugo M70B1.
Let me know if you need any cylinders hydro-tested or small oxygen cylinders filled in the south LA and north OC area. I also may be able to give calgunners discounts on certain victor products.

There were gun owners who didn't care about the 2nd A. and voted for Obama. Some of them even proudly defended their choice here on Calguns. It shouldn't be a surprise there are people here who will support Cheaper Than Dirt. Not attacking you but CTD is almost as bad as Obama and Kamala (arse licker) Harris to us Californians. Sucks that that happened, but I am surprised by some of the comments about this guy ordering from CTD. Can someone explain why a company selling ammo doesn't support the 2A. Maybe PM me or point me to a thread.
I think the attitude of some self-righteous gun owners really hurt younger shooters that are looking to enter in to gun ownership.Comment

Yeah, I must have missed the sticky that said don't buy from them. My bad. In comparison I've spent much more at other places so lesson learned. I'm not.going to argue on the internet, but you all have good points. Not sure about CTD being anti but I'm sure you would be surprised who rubs shoulders with who, in the end its us paying the way. When someone asks how may guns do you need, the proper answer is, "How many are there?"

Thanks Roger1022, however, If Cal Guns is behind this they should put up a notice so people stop buying from them. So that way people who have never ordered from them, continue not to do so.
I don't read every single thread, but it is hard to get past those sticky's without seeing the title. When someone asks how may guns do you need, the proper answer is, "How many are there?"

UPS clearly has changed there policy. No longer is a signature required for most packages. They drop the package on the door step ring the bell, and run for the truck. I'm sure they did an analysis and their cost of replacing losses from theft was less than the labor savings. I have friends that have worked for UPS for 30+ years and I worked there a couple of years in my 20s. I ship any other way when I can. Their insurance is worthless if in their estimation it was not packaged correctly, and they are in my experience the most expensive of all of the shipping options available today. Good luck with your claim. My guess is they will decide in their favor based on the packaging not being adequate for the item in THEIR opinion.Comment
