I just got my 1000rnds delivered today, however, contents were broken. Upon opening the box found loose rounds mixed amongst the sealed containers(plastic). Found 3 of the 10 containers busted open like the package was clearly dropped. How am I so sure he dropped it? Well I work nights and was quietly layi g down with my eyes shut, waiting for the delivery and petting my dog. I hear something akin to a flat surface being slapped on the ground, I thought it was kids jumping around outside, then my door bell rings twice. I get up quickly, because usually I have to sign for it, well I run to the door(15ft away), the guy is already almost to his truck. So no I didn't think to get a better description than what he looks like, but not needed really. I did have a pleasant conversation with customer services, and have a damage evaluation set for tomorrow. Too bad the training I am going to next week requires the use of unopened new manufactured ammo. That was the whole point anyway. So $233 later I need to get more ammo, again. I might have a few You Tubers post the review, they get a lot of views.

One drop won't Jack it up unless it's not packaged right. Drivers always get blamed when they are at the very end of an abusive trip for the package. I'm talking road bumps, trains, packages on top the whole way, conveyor belts and slides etc etc. Yes stuff happens and yes drivers and hub rats can be careless. But more often than not its poor packaging.
Where are you training that they will inspect every box?

I bet it was 10 packs of 22LR. About a year ago, my ammo arrives when I'm sitting outside. The UPS driver walks up and hands me the package (taped cardboard box). As he leaves, I hear ammo rattling in the box. (from Midway BTW).
Sure enough, when I open the package 2 of 10 100rd plastic trays had broken open with ammo bouncing around. The cardboard box looked perfect. Midway screwed up & didn't pack it well enough.
A quick call to Midway & two more 100 rd packs were shipped to me for free.
Yes UPS, FedEx & others earn their fair share of disdain but in my case, it wasn't their fault.

Don't sweat that, trust me.So far as you have enough rnds to get you through the training. You will mostly go through the class with ammo cases empty into your cargo pants for quick reloads.
As for the UPS delivery folks, I guess the weight of the package frustrates them.
I shoot and buy 45 in the thousands, Nowadays I am just happy to have all the rounds accounted for,even if the driver have to hand me loose rounds and boxes that get busted in his truck.

Midway is very careless with the packaging. I've had a lot of damaged items from them. Usually not unusable, but I've learned not to buy any items from them to give as gifts.Comment

I once received a package from Fedex
A hazmat bucket with most of the 1000 .30 cal bullets I'd ordered from Wideners. About 700 or so.
I contacted Widener's who made up the balance. but I thought it was lame of Fedex just leaving it on my porch with no explanation or apology.sigpicNRA Benefactor MemberComment

Yup, all good comments. You are going to laugh, it is 9mm from Cheaper than Dirt. Well they sure packaged it as if it was cheaper than dirt, only "packaging support" was the help the Wounded Warriors pamphlets and a cheaper than dirt magazine, plus the s#*@& plastic containers from "Pobjeda", never heard of them before, but ammo looks like decent quality, just not the cases.When someone asks how may guns do you need, the proper answer is, "How many are there?"
