Rush is like a broken clock - he's right twice a day. As for the so-called ammo shortage, I don't see it. Plenty of ammo available at gunbot.net, including 5.56 (just not M855). I bought 2,200 rounds on-line this week.Comment

It is quite interesting how many from the far left have infiltrated our forum. Not naming any people, but you can come to your own conclusions from the comments posted. Here is a link to an article I just saw, not saying it is the gospel truth, draw your own conclusions.
Just a comment on the Rush addiction problem that several people have commented on. He made it clear that the addiction arose out of back problems, which is not uncommon from Oxycontin as an Rx. What is often ignored is that the pills in question came from a doctor in the same office as his regular physician. In other words, the Rx was in the same medical file and not hidden. The charges were a political witch hunt.Comment

Yep, anyone who thinks Rush Limbaugh is a loudmouthed clown must be a far left infiltrator. There can be no other possible explanation for such a disrespectful attitude towards the Blessed Rush.Originally posted by cockedandglockedGetting called a DOJ shill has become a rite of passage around here. Except for the BS about blessed, you are mostly correct.
It smacks of projection though.
You must worship someone Rush holds up to the light.Democrats>Socialists>Communists - Same goals, different speeds.

I don't worship anyone. And believe me, I couldn't care less what Rush Limbaugh or Paris Hilton or Donald Trump or the rest of that gang think about anyone or anything.Originally posted by cockedandglockedGetting called a DOJ shill has become a rite of passage around here. Cough.. bullcrap... You mean the fact that he was sending out his Maid to buy MORE drugs on the street? Which is how he got caught. That he admits to having gone to rehad multiple times to try and break the addiction while at the same time advocating that drug addicts should be in jail. You doctor doesn't supply you with enough to take more than a few pill a day.It is quite interesting how many from the far left have infiltrated our forum. His addiction spans years. His negotiated deal and his lawyer stretch his case for something like 2-3 years. He never suffered the punishments he advocated on his own show. He never really went to meaningful rehab as far as I can tell.
I don't think he should have gone to short rehab like he did, he should have made a real effort to reform. I don't believe drug addicts should go to jail. I totally understand how easy it is to get addicted to those drug. I also have back problems and took similar drugs for the pain. They are extremely addictive. I don't interpret his addiction as a personal or moral failing.
My issue is that people take his word as an informed truth. He's clearly establish that he doesn't believe his own words and the the money and celebrity of his existence are more important than even his own health. He'd basically rather kill himself than let his celebrity fade. He would rather commit crimes than let his celebrity fade. I question the logic it takes to listen and live on advice provided by such a person.Last edited by greensoup; 03-07-2015, 1:33 PM.Comment

This was way way back in like 2003. He went rehab for 30 days or so. The withdrawl is HORRIBLE. You get it even after a few days on the drugs let alone years.
If he got off them he is very lucky. It's something he will probably have to struggle with for the rest of his life.
If he still has severe back problems he's might be lucky and have a controlled addiction. You can't really take those pain killers for any length of time, they're very very very addictive. In my opinion Oxy was created with the intention of driving sales with a pain killer that encourages addiction. Oxy is a time release tablet. Basically a very high dose that releases slowly. Thus the reason people will crush it and release all the drug at once. Something that never should have been on the market.Last edited by greensoup; 03-07-2015, 1:36 PM.Comment

Seems like a lot of trolling going on in this thread. I am surprised that those complaining about Rush did not cite snopes.Comment

Really? 'Cause you sure are posting an awful lot about someone you don't give a darn about.
Rush is an entertainer and a flawed human being but he has made solid points. Many of which got me thinking and made me do a little research of my own. Frequently he was correct in his assessments and occasionally he was overblown and off base. The valuable thing he does is raise the question.
As with anyone on the news, it never hurts to check their facts.
