My daughter is being refused entry to a cat cafe tomorrow (don't ask) on the basis of the following:



The vaccine has been available for five whole days, and apparently I'm a bad guy for not rushing out to get her vaccinated at the earliest possible opportunity.

Never mind that five days after a first dose means literally nothing in terms of protectivity...

Full disclosure, I probably will get her vaccinated in the not too distant future, but as noted in another thread, I am waiting a few weeks to confirm there is no significant safety issue. Nonetheless, this kind of mandate is utterly absurd. I've opposed them from the beginning, on much more serious Constitutional grounds, and to see them backfire in such a trivially idiotic way is particularly poignant. Oh well.

If the information shown on Youtube's FDA account is true, if the risk of myocarditis from vaccine is 1 in 317 for boys age 16-17, and 1 in 25 after the booster - If that information is true, and if those same chances apply to his daughter, I guess the question may be - is the OP willing to undertake this risk for his daughter? Does the OP understand the risk, and does he believe the benefit/s outweigh the risk/s?
