I'm vaxxed. I have a degree in biology and have studied how virus work and how vaccines work. I'm also a T1D so big pharma keeps me alive - poor but alive. I have yet to read anything negative about the vaccines that are the least bit credible. I am able to read things objectively, see bias where it exists, and make decisions based on facts and not fear or what I want to be true.

Don't want to be vaccinated ? Then don't - I don't care. If you can't see the benefits that's on you. I really don't care if someone doesn't want to be vaccinated. Just like I don't care if you don't want to own a gun. Don't want to be able to protect yourself or family? Good luck if the SHTF.

I understand your courtesy part and the symbolic "we're in this together " mindset.
However, for me, I don't want to be in this together. Because this is destroying freedom, world economy, livelihood, friendships, families, and relationships. "Being in this together" is a euphemism for mandates, which you said you're against. I think you have good intentions, but getting conned by their clever propaganda.

This is not the point of the thread, but let me make my biases clear up front: I personally, strongly recommend COVID-19 vaccination for almost all adults. I do so solely on the basis of proven science. I do not, however, at all support Biden's attempt at a national mandate, particularly in the underhanded way it's being carried out. Once you decide to push people around "for their own good," no matter how overwhelming the benefit, it's only a matter of time before you start pushing them around for much less honorable causes, and it only goes downhill from there.

I think politicians are allergic to presenting any proposal that requires the public to think, work, or be inconvenienced in any way. They'd rather just say "trust us, you can go back to sleep, it's handled." Of course, that could never happen in this case.

I personally find the data compelling for the non-elderly, non-sick, and non-obese as well, but I don't see mandates as either effective or setting a welcome precedent. I guess it means not following them gives politicians an out, but that's hardly a worthy goal.

I think it's important to look closely at the safety data and understand whether our individual situations fit into the test assumptions. It's worth looking closely at small safety signals and trying to figure out if they might reasonably be worse in our specific cases, and build a personal cost-benefit trade. This is also another reason why I oppose the one-size-fits-all approach of a mandate, albeit not my primary reason.

Just so there's no confusion -- while those ER doctors were presenting clear misinformation, with potential risk involved, I do not support purging their presentation. Even for a private channel with no right to access such as YouTube.

For the record, I don't support "robbing people of their livelihood and liberty," as in mandatory curfew. People should be smart enough to figure that out for themselves. You can't enforce that kind of order anyway, so I don't even see the point of trying to issue it.

I do support physicians making [ivermectin] an option in their practice, so long as they provide a clear understanding of the tradeoffs and watch for warning signs of toxicity. I would not recommend anyone play home doctor with it, and certainly do not expect miracles.

I broke down and got the vax, For a few health and work related reasons, I was not forced to, did not want too but was at higher risk complications and catching it in the first place. But that asside, I absolutley do NOT support Vax mandates I am Anti-Mandate. I am also anti Mask madate, I also do not support vax passports or what ever they want to call it, I have a vaccination card but I will do my best to resist showing it as proof I have been vaccinated, I should not have to share my private medical records to shop or travel. I am also against the push to vaccinate kids. I think the risk of covid for a kid is far lower than the risk of the vaccine, maybe not adults but for kids, I think you are at higher risk of danger from the vaccination. I think most are pushing kids to get vaccinated because they are scared the little buggers will be carriers and get them sick, well, you always have the choice to get the vaccination to protect yourself, that is what it is for right? The vaccine is available for all who want it, as far as I am concerned that is the end of the government's involvement, the vax is out and available, from that point on it is your choice to get vaccinated or not, No mandates to force others to get it.
I do not and never believed the vax would or does protect anyone from catching covid, I do believe that it does prep your immune system to be ready for when you do get exposed and be able to start fighting the infection much quicker and effectivly so as to cut down on the damage the virus does while the immune system is trying to make anibodies. I do think it will lessen the impact of what you would have experienced without it. Maybe instead of a level 7 kick in the ***, you may get a level 3 or 4.

I will also state that I believe I did get and suffer from covid a few weeks after my second shot.
One day at work, about halfway through my shift It started with my eyes aching like when you are out in the sun and don't have sunglasses and your eye muscles start to ache from squinting. I work night shift on the road and car lights made my eyes hurt, then half an hour or so on I got a mild headache, like a pressure headache followed by burning in my upper sinus, felt like I had a piece of hot Cheeto up the back of my nose, burned, that was followed maybe an hour later with a little nausea and lightheadedness, I would get a little dizzy when I turned my head left or right. The achy eyes, nose and head along with dizziness, I figured I had maybe a sinus infection/allergy that was affecting my inner ear. Felt like sht. Called my dispatcher and said I was going to go home sick when I got back to the yard.

Day2. Stuffed up, sore throat, sinus and headache mostly gone and nausia

Day3. Covid test for the hell of it. Up the nose one at Riteaid that takes 3 days, it came back not finding any covid virus, but I had a niese that had confirmed covid but the nose test came up negative as well, if you do not get it up there high enough. On this day I also Totally lost my sense of Smell and taste 100%. I have had colds where it was diminished but never 100% gone. I ate some stew and there was no taste, nothing at all, I put some spicy sauce on it and still nothing at all, I could not smell, I could breathe in through the nose fine as I was only stuffy on the right side, left side fine, I tried smelling everything, even my deodorant right up on the nose, not even a hint of anything, I tried smelling my some fish food, that is very strong and usually makes me gag at anything closer than arms length, I put it right up to my nose and took a big whif, Nothing at all, not even a slight hint of an odor. My smell came back after 24hrs at maybe 30% then back to normal after 48hrs while my cold symptoms got worse. on day 3 I also developed a cough, not an itch in the throat kind of cough, or persistent cough, only if I breathed cold air or took a deep breath, it was an involuntary deep cough, like when you puke, deep muscles contraction, nothing coming up, airway felt clear but lungs burned when I would cough. By this day my voice was super sexy deep due to the inflammation in the throat, would not mind keeping that voice, I sounded badass. When I called into work to let them know I was taking this day off as well the girl on the other end of the phone that knows me was like holy sht from the sound of my voice.

Day4. Developed mild muscle ach/weakness, mainly in the shoulders and quads in the legs, even lifting my arm once would make it ach instantly like I had a heavy workout earlier in the day. My normal temp is pretty consistent at 97.6 or so, My temp got up to 100.1 or 99.8 several times, up and down.

Day5. still stuffy and runny in the nose, felt fatigued and fuzzy in the head and would get periodic cold sweats even in the cool air

Day 6 started getting a little congested in the upper airway, the cough which was not like a cold cough where it is constant, just periodic here and there if I breathed cold air or exerted myself, even if just walking to my car was enough to make me start coughing but when sat down and relaxed it went away. This cough lasted for over 3 weeks. once in a while even up to week 2 I would get light-headed if I was bent down or squatting then stood up, very light-headed like I was going to pass out. Most of the other symptoms came and went and were mostly mild except for the stuffy feeling in the nose and the irritated lungs/airway that would make me cough with any exertion. I have a blood o2 reader and my O2 was always 98 or 99%, never had any drop in lung function.

I the test may have come out negative but I got just about every symptom related to covid, especially the total loss of taste and smell which I have never had before.

I believe I did have the covid, Could the Vaccine have caused the symptoms, I guess that is always possible. Maybe I will go get one of those antibody tests to see If I had it, but not sure what the point of that would be. Either way would not change anything I do going forward. If it was the covid, did my vaccination keep it from being worse, Maybe, maybe not, Who the hell really knows.

I have had about 7 of my close family members get covid, 3 adults, one got what was like a mild to bad cold for 2 days, one got just a headache and the other had a fever. 4 children 7 to 11, All had very mild symptoms like a mild cold or flu for a day or two. All were fine after a couple to few days, none vaccinated all confirmed positive. I got 2x vaccine and was suffering symptoms for 3 weeks, Still do not feel 100% in the airway but 95%, the cough is gone.

You are a normal reasonable person. We are on the same page. If someone wants the shot, they can get it. Just like the flu shot. No one should be forced. The crazy push for this shot doesn't make sense unless you consider sinister reasons for it.
