For the vaccinated who support the mandate, why do you support it?

Edit: If you are vaccinated and support the mandate, why do you support it?

    Just genuinely curious.

From many of the posts throughout many threads - its clear that several do it and want others to do it because it's the rule and the only way to 'get back to normal'.

Ignorance, I know. But many feel that way.

If you bought in to the "99% effective, two shots, gets us back to normal" narrative, now you feel really stupid. The more stupid people there are out there, you feel less stupid.

              I know...it's stupid.

The argument is that the vaccinated can still catch, get sick and spread. The unvaxed are more likley to do this. So they want the everyone to mask up to reduce this. They realize the vaccines help but aren't perfect, so distancing and masking help make them better.

"Because it's the rules" is circular argument since the question is, why they made it a rule in the first place.

"Only way to get back to normal" sounds like a plausible reason, but in the normal world, if someone didn't want to get vaccinated, that was their choice. If they got sick and died, that's their choice.

Yes, the leftist is miserable in general, but they take pride in wearing a mask and getting vaccinated is badge of civic duty. I don't think they view getting vaccinated as misery.

                      This seems very plausible too.
They want conformity. People not conforming offends them as if the nonconformists revealed their cowardice. So they lashout.

Religious zealots proselytizes others for their God or to receive reward from their God. In this case, who would their God be? What kind of reward are they expecting by enforcing the mandate?

This is a good point too. They must be truly scared. For people without any evil intentions, they want to mandate vaccines, because they're really scared of catching covid. They say "follow the science", but if they really followed the science, they shouldn't be that scared. So they don't really believe in the science.

Not a rhetorical question. I'm curious for real.
I'm vaxxed. I have a degree in biology and have studied how virus work and how vaccines work. I'm also a T1D so big pharma keeps me alive - poor but alive. I have yet to read anything negative about the vaccines that are the least bit credible. I am able to read things objectively, see bias where it exists, and make decisions based on facts and not fear or what I want to be true.

Don't want to be vaccinated ? Then don't - I don't care. If you can't see the benefits that's on you. I really don't care if someone doesn't want to be vaccinated. Just like I don't care if you don't want to own a gun. Don't want to be able to protect yourself or family? Good luck if the SHTF.

I wear a mask indoors like at Staples Center the other night or at Home Depot. Mostly out of courtesy to the employees. I believe that the masks are more symbolic than effective - they symbolize we are all in this together.

I don't think there should be mandates - of any kind.
