What is a Vaccine?

Am I the only one on Cal Guns that is pretty much had my fill of all of the arguments and posturing over all of this? I'm just as guilty but I am going to cease as of this post.

Someone earlier posted a "I've noticed a reduction in posts on Cal Guns, I wonder why" More then likely the answer is right in front of us.

And what is tetanus? Is it the act of getting the bacteria in your blood, or is it the disease state that puts you into a hospital?

You used tetanus vaccine as an example... I asked a question twice, that you have not directly answered.

Like all threads and topics- if someone isn't interested, they don't have to participate.

Create an interesting thread topic if you have something to share...

I've not noticed any lack of activity in OT... in the guns section, of course - many of us have moved and have nothing to gain or offer in those sections... hell, I've posted firearms "deals" and some whine about 'this is CA we can't have that' ... lecture those types of people and maybe there would be more activity outside of OT.

I haven't addressed anything of the OP in relation to my quotes of yours... It was specific to your example of tetanus. I solely addressed you.

The current EUA vaccines do not eradicate the virus and it appears that was not the intent as a "correlate of protection" has only recently been discovered. As a result, the three vaccines currently in the U.S. are more akin to (prophylaxis) treatments than preventives and that's a major part of the hangup in that vaccines are generally viewed (not to mention 'marketed') as preventives. Or, as I phrased it on that thread...

Tetanus shot isn't a vaccine. That's why they call it the tetanus shot and NOT tetanus vaccine. It's a booster, similar to this COVID "vaccine" that turns you into a super spreader.

Where did you come up with that?

A vaccine is something you take that protects you from getting and transmitting a virus.

Tetanus vaccine doesn't protect you from getting and transmitting a virus because:

1) Tetanus isn't caused by a virus
2) Tetanus vaccine doesn't stop you from getting the Clostridium teteni bacteria in you when you get contaminated dirt in your wound
3) Tetanus vaccine doesn't do anything for transmission because tetanus isn't one of those normal person-to-person diseases

Ergo, his virus-centric definition doesn't work for all kinds of vaccines. The HiB vaccine, the TB vaccine, the pneumococcal vaccine, the meningococcal vaccine, and the diphtheria vaccine are also non-virus vaccines.
