Am I the only one on Cal Guns that is pretty much had my fill of all of the arguments and posturing over all of this? I'm just as guilty but I am going to cease as of this post.

Someone earlier posted a "I've noticed a reduction in posts on Cal Guns, I wonder why" More then likely the answer is right in front of us.

^ I understand what you're saying but this is possibly going to end up being the biggest happening in a 1000 years. It's only just begun.

You used tetanus vaccine as an example... I asked a question twice, that you have not directly answered.

Your lack of response and clarity tells me everything I need to. know.

I'm sure you'll responded with some other irrelevant riddle... save it.

Like all threads and topics- if someone isn't interested, they don't have to participate.

Create an interesting thread topic if you have something to share...

I've not noticed any lack of activity in OT... in the guns section, of course - many of us have moved and have nothing to gain or offer in those sections... hell, I've posted firearms "deals" and some whine about 'this is CA we can't have that' ... lecture those types of people and maybe there would be more activity outside of OT.

And you dancing around the discrepancy between the OP's virus-centric definition of a vaccine and what modern medicine has available tells me all I need to know about your stance.

I haven't addressed anything of the OP in relation to my quotes of yours... It was specific to your example of tetanus. I solely addressed you.

If you can't answer the simple question about your example, why would igaf about your reference to covid,

                Tetanus shot sucks!

Tetanus boosters are required every 10 years, all the hip vaccines need boosters every 6 months.

"required"?... every time I'm asked "have you had your tetanus shot", I say "no"... and move on.

I discussed this last night and earlier this morning on sd_shooter's thread... CDC asks vaccinated people to get re-tested

The current EUA vaccines do not eradicate the virus and it appears that was not the intent as a "correlate of protection" has only recently been discovered. As a result, the three vaccines currently in the U.S. are more akin to (prophylaxis) treatments than preventives and that's a major part of the hangup in that vaccines are generally viewed (not to mention 'marketed') as preventives. Or, as I phrased it on that thread...

'treatment.'...

Actual tetanus sucks more, as in $811,000 in hospital debt sucks.

A 6-year-old boy from Oregon, who never received any vaccines, spent nearly two months in a hospital, racking up more than $800,000 in medical bills after contracting tetanus from a cut on his forehead.

Tetanus vaccine doesn't protect you from getting and transmitting a virus because:

                                1) Tetanus isn't caused by a virus
                                2) Tetanus vaccine doesn't stop you from getting the Clostridium teteni bacteria in you when you get contaminated dirt in your wound
                                3) Tetanus vaccine doesn't do anything for transmission because tetanus isn't one of those normal person-to-person diseases

Ergo, his virus-centric definition doesn't work for all kinds of vaccines. The HiB vaccine, the TB vaccine, the pneumococcal vaccine, the meningococcal vaccine, and the diphtheria vaccine are also non-virus vaccines.
