SF mandates all employees get vaxxed

Able sent out a questionare to all employees asking if they are vaccinated. Atleast 10 engineers who are not vaccinated told me that they were going to lie and say they are. The numbers are skewed and if it looks like 90% are vaccinated due to people lying, the rest will be forced to take the shot. Then the people who lied will be forced to take the shot when they can't produce proof.

People need to grow some balls and stand up to this. Half of the guys I know who did get the shot didn't want it but said that we will be forced too at some point anyway so they got stuck. Some of them even already had covid.

I'm not taking this.

I'd fire any employee of mine that lied to me like this. "I am not going to answer that" is not a lie, "I got vaxxed" when the employee did not get vaxxed is a lie to my face that has al kinds of implications for my business.

I smoked for almost 30 years.

Sometimes, some 'do gooder' would ask me why I smoke, and point out the dangers of it and blah blah blah,.... wanting a "discussion" (one way of course)

the second time that happened to me... I figured it out.... and when they asked "why do you smoke?"

I replied, "It makes me look cool."

Throw them a loop so hard, they dont know how to respond and shut up and walk away for the win!!!!

or you can just say "none of your business"... then maybe ask how they are feeling (just to show some compassion )

If my employer ever asks (which is unlikely unless mandated) for vaccine proof, I plan to give HR a simple post-it note that says "Tadich has been vaccinated" Nothing more. That is a true statement, although the COVID vax is not one that I have taken (or ever will), it is not a lie because I have been vaccinated for other maladies over the course of my life.

When you're being dishonest and don't even have the stones to out and out lie, the "they didn't ask WHICH vaccination" excuse is the kind if thing that is hated by juries.

They can admire someone who says "None of your business", but they dislike lying, and weaseling even more than lying.

If people asked me if I've been vaccinated for Covid, I would response by asking them if they've been vaccinated for STDs.

You do understand that getting vaccinated does not give you sterilized immunity, right? You can still catch and spread the virus.

Again, if you decided to get vaccinated why do you care if someone else chooses not to?

Some think a vax card is a federal document..

It's a stretch to think that.

They say because it says CDC on it - its fed... but since it's not issued by cdc (or fed agency) I don't see how that would stick.

Walgreens isn't federal agency - and they aren't acting on behalf of the feds and they are certified through any federal database (that I know of)

But I will observe that both questions are irrelevant to the elements of the criminal offenses cited above.

If the issuer isn't a government agency and not certified by government agency, how does what they issue fall under a government document (or document regulated by government)?
