I imagine they are going to fast track it since we are in the middle of building a couple hospitals and revamping some others as well as working with military on their quarantine facilities and such.
If YOU had done YOUR part such as social distancing, frequent and thorough hand washing, keeping your hands off your face and away from your eyes, nose, mouth, and ears, then your chance of infection is very, very low. And if you do get it, you won't know it came from this guy.

And hey, what is your union's position on supporting Dem/Lib anti 2A state and federal legislators and what measures have you taken with the Union to change their tune?

Oh I still have to work, I just can't do it in the fab facility.

I always do that stuff anyway. Natural germaphobe I never got sick until I had a kid and he brings home all kinds of diseases from school.

No idea. We work with 2 unions. Sheet metal workers and pipe fitters. Everyone I talk to are Trump supporters and pretty right leaning. I asked if the unions make them vote certain ways and all that and they said that kind of thing was 20 years ago and the unions make suggestions but don't strong arm anyone into anything. At least out here anyway.

Guy was in the hospital for two weeks, last week he was on ventilation, then he died.
Then we got "cleaned" overnight or something like that.

I think the "cleaning" was all about appearances, I mean the virus doesn't live for two weeks.

It's not part of American culture, it's part of human culture. Long before social safety nets people had to work to feed the family and so they did under the worst of circumstances because it was required.

I really hate it when people try to make this an American culture thing to push for changes to our social safety nets, it's like the lowest of the low from a propaganda standpoint.

At least after sandy hook they waited until some of the bodies to start to cool before the started exploiting the dead for political weapons. We still have more yet to die than have already died and they are already exploiting them. Deplorable.

I ain't gonna lie, I briefly kind of envisioned something like that when I was thinking about the shop and all its huge *** steel and iron machines... The fab part of the shop I think is 400,000 sq ft. Thats why I was thinking how the hell are they going to disinfect something like that?

Boss sent email saying back open on Monday with limited folks called in to fab up stuff for the field during this week. Doesn't matter to me as I'm in IT and have to work no matter where my butt is physically planted.

Yup, took away our sick time and rolled it in PTO.

Had a guy come into my work sick. He wore a mask. Don't ask, don't tell, and kept my hands clean. Problem solved.

Our company did that a few years ago. I think its just because our payroll software sucks and that made it easier. Plus the bosses are pretty cool and let people take off and get paid without burning PTO sometimes.
