It's refreshing to hear from someone who knows their stuff once in a while. The mindless bleating gets a little tedious at times.

I will benefit from it. My 870 Express Tactical doesn't have extraction issues, but I'm going to polish the chamber and bore with steel wool anyway. It might smooth out the bore some more. I've never been able to get rid of what looks like bumpiness from certain angles. I've always assumed it was leftover spots of factory grease/preservative.

I LOVE my 870 Express Tactical. It's my first line of home defense.

+1 with having the problems due to the Winchester bulk stuff from Walmart. true out the federal bulk packs from Walmart and had zero problems.

The Extractor that comes with it does not suck, there are a hundreds of them thousands of them on 870's doing just what they are susposed to to. Some others also gave you the solution and you ignor it so your problem is going to continure. We did not waste our time since I am sure others read it and will benifit from it since you will not.
um WOW excuse me bro but by "finally some answers" i was referring to everyone on this thread who helped me and ESPECIALLY the remingotn factory certified armorer (who i guess is you?). where did i say i was gonna ignore your advice?? im obviously gonna take EVERYONE'S advice because honestly, even if i dont need to, changing the extractor wouldnt hurt. other threads around the web have suggested the same thing so im going to just do it anyway because like i said, i dont think it would hurt. by seeing that so many people have changed it, it made me think that its a design flaw. however you've now made it more than clear that its not. i have no idea what the butthurt is about. im sorry if i mistyped something that gave off the wrong connotation. nowhere did i say that i was gonna ignore the advice, in fact, im going to do it all.

not sure who your talking about. in my "AR15 being overrated thread" i made clear that it was not an extensive review and that i was merely sharing my personal uneducated thoughts on shooting my uncle's AR15 for the first time. nowhere did i say the AR15 sucked, i just said that my one experience with my uncle's did. derp.
also nowhere did i say that i was indoors or at 25 yards (which i wasnt) so yeah im not sure who your talking about.

also nowhere did i say that i was going to ignroe the remington armorers advice. im not sure why the keyboard commandos are assuming this.

            being overly butthurt and critical

If I misunderstood I apologize. Your post made it seem your solution was to replace the extractor and your comment about the MIM extractor that come on the weapon was very negative. You will find once that barrel is cleaned properly and you upgrade the ammo your issues are over.

Your USED Police Magnum is broken in. Hence no issues with the Winchester loads you are using.

thanks for emphasizing my point- for those complaining about winchester universal, it's the gun not the ammo

Extractors on 500's tend to break. Not a bad idea to have a couple, plus the attaching pins, in your parts box.

Change out the extractor and follower. You will have no problems with the gun after that.

Why do you people reply to qustions about a Remington or other model by posting "Get a Mossberg" ? It contributes nothing to the OP's question and indicates to me that you are immature and have nothing to contribute to the Post. It would be the same if anyone replied like that to a question about a Mossberg by telling the person to get a Remington or get a Nova. I don't allow it on my forum and wish the moderators would discourage it here. I quess since you know nothing and have nothing to contribute you feel compelled to post something to get attention. Go away.
