I use a bore snake, used rod and patches first but was horrible, used so many patches for the big barrel. Bought a bore snake for 4 calibers and never looked back.

We all have our own routines with our guns. I look at like this. We spend plenty on our weapons, so why not keep them cleaned, lubed and ready to go. I personal try to keep all my possessions maintained.

What can I say, I love the smell of a clean, well lubed shotgun in the morning!

Rod at home. I really like the Tico Tool. Not sure why I just do.

I like Tico tool too. How do you clean it?

Dawn dish soap and water, but they can get real dirty looking before that's required,

Thanks. I've been washing my bore snakes in washing machine. Wife hasn't caught me yet. I like Tico tool. But turn black quickly.

Any chance a Tico tool can damage a barrel?

They leave my barrel squeaky clean. No lint.

I use a rod and patch and Tico tool. Bore snake can be really hard to pull through.

I don't expect everything handed to me. Just set it down anywhere. Unknown
