no cat fight... I didn't design the gun - I have no reason to market the damn thing...

Informed decisions are paramount... If I can't describe in words how this shotgun functions, I'm happy to have someone shoulder the thing and cycle a few rounds (several mag tubes full if desired)... I'll provide plenty of shotshells...

guess I got a fluke... I've had one since Feb 2011 - approx 500 rounds, no problems... however, it doesn't like any of the 3.5" shells I've fed it, other than that it's been good.

It's easy to short stroke - so you have to get used to that, once accustom to it's function it's GTG... even my girlfriend has no problem with it.

Maybe actium31 couldn't understand your post because
1) You didn't start your sentence with a capital "G" on the word guess
2) It should be accustomed not accustom

And I'm only playing spelling/grammar police because I couldn't find ANYTHING else wrong with your post that made it so hard to understand!!
So please edit these mistakes so we can clearly understand the message you were trying to convey.

Crap, where do I sign up for that deal?

I wrote a letter to the cfo, ceo, and coo about how displeased I was with their product. I also said how bummed that American product would break after 16 rounds of bird shot. I asked for a 870 Police Magnum to make things right. A rep in their customer service contacted me saying how they could not replace it with the Police Magnum because they only sold them to L.E and gun stores. How ever he said that I could pick any new pump action shotgun I wanted. I was thinking of asking for a wing master but I didn't want to seem greedy so I settled for the 870 super mag.

I will be at Burro Canyon (private range) on 11/11 (Veterans' Day) - wasn't planning on taking the 887 (I don't fiddle with it much these days - but it's loaded and within reach for home defense, so I guess this would be a good opportunity to send some slugs to keep her loose)... and would be happy to give you as many rounds as necessary to make an informed decision.

I appreciate the offer but I'm not that close to Pomona/azuza.

Honestly, I love the look of the 887 and considered buying one, which is why I was hoping you'd clarify "finicky" and "fluke." ar's are finicky. Pump shotguns, not so much. But you seemed a bit touchy in your response... Who's to say what kind of day you're having? Or where your panties may be situated?
