maverick is a solid shotgun, a bargain Mossberg, which we all know is a good shotgun. I checked out the stevens 320 and 350. the 350 is an Ithaca copy, which is gritty and catchy like an Ithaca, only worse. the 320 near as I can figure is a Winchester copy, but kind of a crappy one. get rid of the stupid long forend that rubs the receiver they might work better, but i'm happy with my Winchester defender. had a mossy 500 persuader until I shot the defender and had to have one. maverick is a great deal though and a great gun.

I looked at Stevens and Maverick. There was no comparison. I bought the Maverick. Just felt worlds better.

I think it's a good shotgun if you buy a shotgun and use it as configured. For "souping up" maybe an 870 or 500 (non Big5) will work better.

I've had mine for about 10 years now and it is reliable. I put an ATI pistol grip buttstock on mine.

Mine compares favorably to my 590... in fact, it was a bit smoother out of the box, likely due to slightly looser tolerances...

Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.

I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.

I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest.

Maverick 88 is the way to go if you want a pistol grip on your Mossberg-esque shotgun due to the position of the safety.

If you want a traditional stock, stick with a Mossberg 500 or 590
