    Thinking of getting saiga 12

Or another semi auto shotgun. Any of you guys have experiences with these? Decent price range?

Saw one locally for around 800.

Had one. Sold it. Mossberg spx is better on my opinion.

What was wrong with it? I like the detachable mag idea but seems like it would jam a lot.

S12 is a fun gun. Russian mag or sgm are good. Check Atlantic Firearms, they had Russian converted model for a good price. Only thing I don't like is the mag lock.

They have one similar to the m4 at turners for 300. It's called tristar.

Another vote for Benelli m4, if you have the funds.

In California, it makes more sense to get a conventional shotgun than a mag locked semi.

So, my vote goes for Mossberg SPX or a Benelli M4.

I have both a Benelli M4 and I recently bought a Vepr 12. I absolutely love both shotguns. I feel like the Vepr is a little easier on the shoulder then the M4. I took them both out this last weekend and shot some clays with a few buddies. I liked the vepr better for clays. It has more of an open sight picture vs the M4, but I'm more accurate with the M4. I had 5-6 FTE on my Vepr this weekend with target loads. My Benelli had ZERO. Although my Benelli is a bit more broken in. I'm sure after a few hundred more rounds the Vepr will eat anything I throw in it.

Depends on what you want it for.
I have many guns. My Saiga 12 shooting slugs is one of my funnest guns ever! Very accurate with slugs out to at least 70 yards (furthest I've tried).

Vepr 12 is way better than the s12
