Also I took the Saiga 12 out again today to shoot, turns out the recoil buffer was causing the gun to short stroke which is why we were having feed issues. I removed it and ran 50 rounds of low velocity PMC 00 Buck without any issues.West Coast Weaponworks

I picked one up for $700 then converted it myself. Easy to do and now much more fun to shoot. I have a Remington choke on it and can break clays with it with great accuracy. With all this "gun control" talk, I've not heard one politician say how they plan on taking guns from criminals, just law abiding Citizens.

Here's the Kushnapup Bullpup conversion.
And yes, it really is nothing more than a range toy. But it's different and fun. I already have another Saiga 12 and nowadays, with a gun collection of 57, I just look for new fun projects to do.
The factory 5 round magazines wont really work, they hit the grip and are hard to get in. The 10 round magazines work fine, the 20 round drum is too wide and the 10 round drum will also hit your wrist.
I need to put optics on it, I have an Aimpoint waiting I just need the top rail to be delivered. Your cheek will rest too high to use the iron sights.
I'll take it to the range next week and see how it shoots.

Took the Kushnapup Conversion to the range and then out to the desert this week. Fired 50 rounds at the range with no issues and another 100 rounds out in the desert with no issues. Really fun gun to shoot. I have iron sights on it right now but I think I'll put an Aimpoint on it.West Coast Weaponworks

Here's the final version of the Saiga Kushnapup Conversion. Also a link to a quick video of me shooting it out in the desert.
The gun needs optics. Out in the desert I was using iron sights off a UTAS UTS-15 but they were still a little low. When I would lean into it I would lose my sight picture and standing straight up and shooting means you feel more of the recoil.
The recoil isnt bad, a little more than a standard Saiga 12.
I put an Aimpoint on it and tried it at the range today and it works great.
I think I'll have to do the Remington 870 Bullpup Conversion next.
