Unless you have an AOW in progress right now, I think the door is shutting as far as owning one in California. By the time your stamp comes, there will be no more SSE.

well, I don't see microstamping required for pump-action handugns
it appears that microstamping is only required for semi-auto handguns, not that "just revolvers are exempt from it".
31910. As used in this part, "unsafe handgun" means any pistol,
revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the
person, for which any of the following is true:
(7) (A) Commencing January 1, 2010, for all semiautomatic pistols
that are not already listed on the roster pursuant to Section 32015,
it is not designed and equipped with a microscopic array of
characters that identify the make, model, and serial number of the
pistol, etched or otherwise imprinted in two or more places on the
interior surface or internal working parts of the pistol, and that
are transferred by imprinting on each cartridge case when the firearm
is fired, provided that the Department of Justice certifies that the
technology used to create the imprint is available to more than one
manufacturer unencumbered by any patent restrictions.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Schooled again. Didnt even think of that. This is purely academic anyway I doubt Serbu would submit the super shorty - or if the testing center or someone would have a SOT to even facilitate the transferwell, I don't see microstamping required for pump-action handugns

exactly. but could you imagine the drama at CADOJ if he did get it tested, it passed, and they had to list it on the roster. If they refused, that would be a fun lawsuit, them refusing to list a CA-legal firearm that passed the roster test.
And yes, I don't even know if any of the testing facilities even have an SOT, so it might be moot. But that's another lawsuit angle, even being prohibited from having your otherwise CA-legal firearm prohibited from being on the roster because there are no testing facilities in the country legally allowed to test it.Jack

You and me both...I was near my AOW when I was DROS'ing another SSE at EBR Works last Saturday. So close, yet so far.
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
Come on...what harm??
