I thought this was interesting. Now if you go to the Keltec website the msrp on the KSG has changed. It's now $1,197.00. $3.00 cheaper than the UTS-15. I guess Keltec figured they could make way more money on the gun.

Well it's been almost a month and I took the UTS-15 to the range again today. Fired another 50 rounds of Federal 00Buck. Not a single issue. So to date that's 450 rounds fired and the only time I had any issue was the first 100 rounds when I had one FTF.

      1st Range - 100 rounds - 1 FTF
      2nd Range - 200 rounds - 0 issues
      3rd Range - 100 rounds - 0 issues
      4th Range - 50 rounds - 0 issues

      I'm happy with it.

I'm curious if ROUGH GEAR has has a chance to try the KSG yet?

I bought a UTAS from Atlantic firearms last week. It shows up in 10 hours. Ill test it at the range and let everyone here know what transpired.

A 15 shot magazine is something very appealing to me baca use I suck at trap and it never hurts to have a second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh.....chance.

          Really..ask Bill Clinton.

I have not yet, we are busy with two Saiga projects and a HK 556A1. Been having issues with the Saiga Bullpup so it's taking up some time. I'm guessing it will be a few weeks until we have a chance to go out and test them both side by side.

I'm sure you will like your UTAS. We found if we didn't baby it it performed better. Short stroking can be an issue is you don't rack it with conviction.

We have sold approx 200 plus of the UTAS and actually have had very few issues I think a total of 5 . We were one of the first firms to filed test the gun for UTAS before they started shipping out production shotguns . One thing we noticed was if you short stroke the gun you will jam . When we fully cycled the action and paid attention not to short stroke we did not have issues . On the few issues we did have UTAS customer support was top notch and either replaced the unit or we refunded the customer if they were not happy . The recent upgrades to the gun are definite improvements over the model we first tested . The UTAS is not for every customer personally I am a solid fan on the Remington 870 and the Saiga 12 as my Go To gun but I am bit Old School .

I just dros'd mine. I did get it from Atlantic. No collusion in this thread BTW.

it feels a LOT like a HK USC. Same basic size and weight... And quality of parts and finishes.

Is it a range toy? ALL guns not used in combat or Law and order are range toys with the exception of hunting guns. Could you shoot quail with the UTAS? I think so.

It's always a piece of crap if you can't afford one isn't it?

I did fugitive recovery for about 5 years in San Diego and I always carried a Mossberg 500. Mainly because when we entered a house if I HAD to shoot someone I could load the shotgun with rubber 00buck. They would go down but still be alive.

If this gun was around back then I would honestly have used it at work. The best part is I could of had one tube loaded with rubber and the other with 00buck. I could have just been able to flip a switch and go lethal instead of dropping the shotgun and going to my pistol.

I think time will prove the UTS-15 is an incredible and reliable shotgun. I just ignore the arm chair commandos.

I put one of mine up for sale $1200 with Magpul generation 2 front and rear sights and UTG red/green dot shotgun red dot.

I have 2 of these and need to free up cash for BMW toys..
