You can buy them at Walmart, Big5, Sportsmans, etc. They come in a pop-up container, just like Remoil soaked baby wipes. You could actually clean the whole gun with them. I carry a few in a zip lock baggie when hunting.

My gf knocked a glass of white wine off of the headboard doing something she read about in Cosmo.

White wine will remove anodization and bluing from a model 37.

And transfer it to your carpet....

If you give it a week anyway.

The stock looks good, but I rub in Formby's Tung oil occasionally.
Any good gun oil on the blue. do a thread search. This has been covered

I like that stock design. How does the checkering feel when using it? Does it make you hand feel raw? I ask because I would like checkering but my hands are very soft haha.

Haven't shot it yet, but it doesn't feel bad at all.

I'm looking for suggestions/feedback on how to maintain a blued gun, and the wood stock
Hot tank blueing is an oxide coating that is porus. When it's oiled, the pores hold oil to the gun, and protect the metal from the elements. Wipe it down with an oily rag once a month is about all the maintenance a blued finish needs.

I just have a little oil bottle with some motor oil in it that I use to wipe down my blued guns
cheap and works well enough to keep rust at bay
