I'll admit I've been drooling over them, too. I just can't justify the price, especially for an unproven platform (not to mention one that's totally single-purpose; can't slap another barrel on it and bust clays). Kel-Tecs fall into the "cheap but good" category, like a Glock, or a Honda Civic. It's about a $600 gun in my view, and will sell for that soon enough. Paying $1500+ for this would be like paying $800 for a Glock 17.

About the same price ($1700?), so you can satisfy the urge to buy a tacticool shotgun for more than it's worth, but no annoying wait to separate you from your money.
Wow, I swear. People don't even bother reading. They see KSG in the title and come into a thread pre-judging.

If you'd have bothered to read the first post, you'd see I say I can't justify spending 2-3 times MSRP (that's manufacturer's suggested retail price, which is around $600). I also clearly say I'm looking for a PUMP SHOTGUN. Is the Benelli M4 a PUMP SHOTGUN? No, it's not. It's also way out of my price range.

        That's the 590A1, which I mentioned.

Haha I keep entering the contest but no alarm here. I did enter twice a day almost every day but I just wanted to win it so I can sell it
          Get the Mossberg.

I became obsessed. I set alarms for every 6 hours for the past month.

The drawing was held today, and I didn't win, even with about 60 submissions. But now it's left me wanting a KSG more than ever.

I've been wanting a pump shotgun for a while, and had my eye on the Mossberg 590A1 (51663 model, specifically) forever. But I dunno, I think now I want the KSG more.

I don't want to get on a waiting list, and definitely don't want to pay two or three times more than MSRP. So, that just leaves me hoping that Kel-Tec catches up with demand real soon.
The problem with the KSG is that it is plagued with bugs still. The UTS is apparently a cleaner non buggy version for about $1200

also, I believe the UTS-15 has a lot more metal, GET THAT instead, you will not be sorry...

When I get employed again that will be one of the next guns I buy. Oh yeah, and you CAN buy them... Unlike the KSG.

BTW, for the price the KSG is way overpriced. The UTS-15 is still under the radar so they are about a grand or so.

I also wanted the KGS but now I'm liking the UTS-15 better!

Yeah, especially now with all the craziness. Hopefully things cool down a bit in a few months; meanwhile, Kel Tec catches up with demand.

Buy a m4 its the same price as the KSG!

Lol, just kidding... I did read your post. I had the chance to hold one and I like it. As for D_S, I say your mistake was because of training. Anyone would be efficient with the weapon they train with. With a new weapon like the KSG, I'm sure more training will help your stage planning.

I'm considering on buying one too but tjhe FFL I saw it said its available for LE for now so if I know anyone I can get a hold of one.

Anybody who thinks that the UTS is a reliable tool should go find the Nutnfancy (and others) YouTube videos on it. I'm not a Nutnfancy fan but I admire his patience; glad he tested it and not me, I'd have pounded it into the ground and used it for a tent stake.

OP, get yourself an 870 or 590, buy a bunch of ammo, shoot it a bunch until working it is second nature, and be happy.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

Either the UTS or the KSG would be caught in the newest round of proposed legislation, as they have "military features", i.e. a pistol grip. The current legislation has a slim chance of passing... but why risk it? Keep tabs on the 2a forum, give help when asked for, and take some of that cash set aside for another gun this year and spend it to help ensure the right to own guns for the next hundred years.
