    The KSG Bug.

Man, I didn't think I wanted one of these till I entered that grabagun.com/giveaway contest. I innocently signed up one day, then it thanked me for entering the contest and reminded me I could re-submit an entry every 6 hours.

I became obsessed. I set alarms for every 6 hours for the past month.

The drawing was held today, and I didn't win, even with about 60 submissions. But now it's left me wanting a KSG more than ever.

I've been wanting a pump shotgun for a while, and had my eye on the Mossberg 590A1 (51663 model, specifically) forever. But I dunno, I think now I want the KSG more.

I don't want to get on a waiting list, and definitely don't want to pay two or three times more than MSRP. So, that just leaves me hoping that Kel-Tec catches up with demand real soon.

I hear ya. I looked at one the other day and decided I certainly didn't need one. But the more I think about it I really want one. But your right the price is rediculous!
If I purchase something from you. Please leave me + itrader feedback when you receive payment. When I receive the item I purchased from you. I will leave you + itrader feedback. Thanks, and make it a great day!

I didn't either! But I dunno, there's something seductive about the both capacity and compactness. The fact that you can carry buckshot in one tube, slugs in the other, and switch back and forth? Really cool.

            Keep hopeing.

Kel-Tec is about 1-2 years back ordered.

While you wait, you'll have to play the COD video games to get your Kel-Tec KSG fix.

Wow is it really back ordered that far back? I saw some ads here about KSG v2 , looks the same, anyone know what that is about? I couldn't find any info on Google about the v2 .

Version 1 was the prototype/initial production version that was discontinued.
Version 2 is the current production version that fixes the problems discovered in the earlier version.

It is cool in theory, but would really only work at the range... if anyone thinks that in a Defensive, or SHTF situation you are going to have the wherewithal to switch between the two, you are sadly mistaken...

I had the opportunity to run one at the last multi-gun I went to for a stage. I thought I staged the shells correctly with bird in one tube, 2 slugs 2 buck, and then 3 more bird... it was supposed to be enough to get me through the stage... I hit all my targets in the first tube, but had a click, no boom, because I didn't switch the tube over... then I missed one of my buck targets because it was shooting high right, which then means you have to put the selector in the middle and hand feed... very awkward. It is a novel idea, and I love the compactness, but I have 10+1 in my Winchester 1300, and with my very fast 4 shell weak hand reloads (I can load 8 shells in under 6 seconds.) I think a good ol pump is still faster.

You can get them on gun broker for around $1,500 to $1,700 which for a gun with a dealer cost of $550 is a steal. Or, to cure your "Bug" as you say go get a good 870 or 590 and your bug will be cured. Then spend the $1,000 you saved on something that matters.

Thanks, but I did say I definitely don't want to pay two or three times more than MSRP, and I also said I've been considering the 590A1. While I've been aware of the KSG since 2011, this infatuation with it for me is a relatively new phenomena.

You would find the 590 a better weapon to deploy when your life is on the line. So if you have any desire to use the weapon for defense then you were on the right track with the 590. You only said you were considering a pump shotgun and never stated it was for defense so I may have wrongly assumed that as I view the 590 as a defense weapon.

If you are just wanting a weapon for fun then that KSG should be a blast to shoot and make for a fun day at the range. Once the tacti-fool crowd stops paying over MSRP and they come down to their MSRP of around $800 you can make the move. But those who want to fight with this weapon are not making a sound choice in my most humble of opinions.

Range guns for spits and giggles make a good day spent and I have them. I just understand the practicality of them and what they are for. You should be able to scratch that itch in a couple years or so when the "Newest Greatest Thing", what ever that is going to be, comes out and they all have to have it no matter the cost. Used KSG's will be in gun shops for $500 one day. As for me I would not even want one if given to me as I have limited space in my safes and no sence wasting in on a something like that.

                          Just get a Benelli M4.

About the same price ($1700?), so you can satisfy the urge to buy a tacticool shotgun for more than it's worth, but no annoying wait to separate you from your money.

Definitely get the 590. The KSG is simply way too much at this point, even though it is pretty cool.

However, if you get the 590, get the full mil-spec version with the metal trigger guard.

You could buy a quality gun like a Benelli for that much money. Or for 1/3 the price, you could also buy a quality gun like an 870 or a 500 and trick them out with everything you could ever want.

Overpriced, video game plastic gun, feh.
