    Triple B's Membership

    I know I've seen this info posted somewhere but I can't seem to find it. When you are a member at Triple B Clays, how much do they charge you for each round of skeet / trap / sporting clays?

    Also how does one go about reserving a field? (assuming you're a member) Just call them and see what's available?

    The membership is $150. Skeet goes from 8.50 to 6.50. The fields are first come first serve to members.

            They raised the membership price to $200 now. Not terrible, but takes longer to break even.

            How does one use the patterning board? I assume you need to bring your own paper or whatnot to produce the pattern on?

                    I signed up about a month ago. I haven't used the full potential of the membership though.

                    ROI = 100 rounds of skeet/trap

                    I also shoot sporting clays price reduce to $36 from $44 for 100 clays.

                    Besides the money part the two other reasons why I joined was
                    Access to Private Fields
                    Access to Member's Only Station for Sporting Clays

                    Anyone ever thought of setting up a practice day for all of the Skeet Clinic Students.

                      I have been known to invite all the level II's to meet and shoot on the weekends when there isn't a clinic going on. Have gotten as many as 7 people and as few as me show up. It is nice to shoot with others that know Coach's method and style so that we can give each other pointers and advice.

                      You will receive these messages when I send them out now. WRexD sends out invites like this from time to time too.

                          Better wait and see. The saving right now to members is $2 for trap and skeet and $8 for 100 sporting clays targets. Today they were talking about raising the prices again because they say clay targets are going up, This will be another increase in fees in the last year. On January 1st, dues to members went up $50. No increase in costs to the occasional shooter, just to the members that shoot often and support Triple B's on a regular basis. Stick it to the regulars again! Now they are talking about planting trees down the middle of the trap fields because after 40 years of the way it has always been, ATA is complaining they don't like the backdrop and if the changes aren't made, they will go elsewhere. I'd like to know where elsewhere is? I can't imagine they will go anyplace else with the high cost of gas and the only other field even close (40 miles away) is Prado, and that is a real cow pasture. I say, if they want trees, buy them and plant them themselves. Just another expense Triple B's will pass along to the rest of us. ATA, get a life!

                            I've been a member for the last 2 years and with the increase, I did not renew.

                            I use to shoot at least 4 rounds a week. Some weeks 8. This year I have only shot about 10 rounds total since Jan. Work + family has gotten in the way.

                            I shoot ATA. I had not heard about the trees but I can say the back drop is not one of my favorites. Not sure if that would really help but I don't see how it hurts.

                              The backdrop has been the same for over 40 years. If ATA wants it better, let them pay for it, not the rest of us.
