Doesn't look like a gun shop. Pawn shop probably, guns and music equipment? Pawn shop.
And OP, bad habits die hard.
    Keep it "Practi-Cool"

Why is your face blurred? I can think of a few reasons to actually do it, but I have a feeling you don't fit into any of them.

With trigger discipline like that, it might end up being your last shotgun too....

It is. I've been there before. Decent selection of some good firearms as well.

Most shops in SD are not that cool!!!!
Most shops would not only NOT give you a new shotgun for Christmas, they would fire yer' azz for walking around with your finger on the trigger.

              PM Me
OP, yes it is your finger and your trigger, but it's not just your life that could be affected (ended) when you sneeze or stub your toe and squeeze "your trigger".

These guys that are bashing your lack of trigger discipline could be saving your life or (more likely in this case) the life of your friends or family.

              Think about it.

On a positive note, that's a great Christmas gift and you have a very cool boss.

              Merry Christmas.

OP obviously doesn't care about trigger discipline even after others have explained the importance of it to him.

What I meant by my post was I hope nobody else gets hurt as a result of his decision to ignore basic firearms safety.

That's the way I see it; apparently the truth hurts.

Why such a big deal? well, you've owned it for a short period of time and already have a very bad habit. Maybe all the feedback will help you remember to keep your finger off the trigger the next time you pick the gun up. If not, best of luck to you.

I'm NOT trying to be an *****hole. I've just seem some bad things "accidentally" happen.

That's a great present! You must be a valuable employee.

And yeah, the butt whomping...it's a good thing man. Don't take it personally. Gun owners are under a bigger microscope than most other law abiding citizens. Therefore, we have to show utmost responsibility when it comes to our hobby/profession.

The more good habits you have, the more you'll enjoy your firearm. Have fun, be safe and Merry Christmas!

Thanks all for the input. I DO understand safety, i DO practice it. ESPECIALLY at work. The trigger finger was just for the photo. Yes it is a Pawn Shop. The name of it Hillcrest Pawn Brokers, we do FFL transfers for only $45 (and we have Calguns stickers)!! The face blur was just a precaution. I dont need my face on the internet more than it already is. And the guy who says he hopes I hurt myself. I dont really care. If thats how he feels, whatever. Im sure people took it more serious than he meant it. Merry Christmas to all Calgunners!

It sounds like you're taking the constructive criticism to heart. I'm glad to read that.

Remember, as a professional in the business of selling firearms, newcomers may have YOU as their first example of how to safely handle a firearm. Keep that responsibility in mind when you are handling the weapons and showing them how to handle the weapons. Know the 4 rules and practice them religiously.

Again, congrats on the awesome Christmas bonus!
