      Marketing gimmick.

      I'm guessing some one at Mossberg saw the KAC "ChainSAW" and wanted to make something similar.

        It's like black and yellow stripes in nature or WWE t-shirts in Walmart.

        It lets the normal population know what to stay away from.

          I can only see this as a better option if the shooter has physical limitations - And this position/grip allows them use of the weapon where "typical" positions/grips would not.

          Other than that - There is zero reason to own one...
