Went to Don Ziegler's skeet class today, had a great time, broke in my new 590 (20" barrel).
Had a great time. This was my second class, and the first one seems to have taken: I only missed one clay in the morning session (20-25 shots)
The funny thing was, the number of comments I received about the short gun. Some said it made it too easy, some said it made it too hard. Coach Ziegler summed it up nicely: "Some people shoot real well with them, some shoot real bad with them... I guess you're the first kind."
I was surprised to find that pumping wasn't a problem. I was sure it would be something I'd have to think about, that I'd forget, etc... but it seems to be a real natural movement; I didn't even really notice I'd done it, but the gun shot twice so I must have. ;-)
Thanks again, bjl333, for setting these clinics up.
