It is. It's a small gun and almost looks like a youth model. Is it? They have full-size Rossi single shots as well on sale.

I wanted a .410 AR upper for quite some time but it was very expencive... at the price of the Rossi, I would own one just to have something that can shoot a .410 shell.

We have a single shot .410 at our duck club. My sons and other members' sons & grandsons (and some daughters too) are the 3rd generation of hunters who have learned to shoot with that gun.

Does it take many ducks? No. But its shot a lot of milk jugs floating in the ponds so the kids can see how shot behaves if you aim too low (bounces right over). And its great for walking the high ground for pheasants & rabbits without carrying too much weight.

Opening day is tomorrow. If I limit on ducks in the morning, I'll grab the .410 and take a walk in the afternoon. Its really a nice little gun.
I don't shoot because I like guns, I shoot because I hate paper.

well a 20 or 28 is probably better if you want to actualy connect but it could be cool to plink around with. Those guns don't cost much so you haven't really lost much if you don't like it. Those rossi are very light weight like 5lbs. Chambered in anything other then .410 they would kick really hard. So for the rossi single shot 410 is probably the best to keep recoil to a minimum. Should be really good for cottontail.

I got a buddy with a SxS .410 and I love that thing. His has an English style stock and it's so easy to shoot trap/skeet with it makes me look good

There is nothing wrong with a .410. I would hesitate to use the slugs on deer, but I know of several people who use them successully on coyotes. They make decent rabbit and quail guns for in-close shooting. I like them because there is something left of the critter if you hit them at under 20 yards. The same can't always be said of 12 gauges. Not unless you feel like cleaning them up with a sponge... And don't forget that .410s are just plain fun to shoot.

My youngest daughter has a Stevens .410 bolt action that was her grandfather's. Fun to shoot, although that skinny barrel seems like it is about 17 feet long. I want one, too.

That tuffy is actualy a mean little gun, it is so short and light that it has a good kick to it, not that great for kids I found out. It is so light and short with the thumb hole stock you can shoot it like a pistol one handed till your wrist gets sore. On mine there is a little slide open door in the butt stock that holds 4 or 5 shells and a little clear window on the side to see how many are in there. It is fun, I like mine.

Check out these 410 to 22 lr adapters.... I was eyeing some for 12ga, but I dont think the work with pumps. They are designed for break action, so it'd be good for you

Those adaptors look pretty neat. I am wondering if the little tube is rifled and or how accurate they are.

                            I have a .32 and a .22 adapter for my .410. At 25 yards, with a red dot, it's pretty accurate.

Also have a .357 adapter for my 20 gauge.

I want the 410ga revolver - TAURUS JUDGE 6INCH BARREL - but alas not in CA.

But since the TAURS JUDGE came out - thare are some more interesting rounds factory loaded for 410ga - alLtough most in 3inch. Now putt these hot defense loads in a 16 or 18 or longer barrel and there potential goes way upp. Secound and third shot - follow up blasts - the recoil would be perfect out of a full sized pump shot gun or semi auto.

I always thought the 410ga snake charmer was a handy gun.

I do not think you made a Bad Decision. Get it home and then take it out and shoot it.

Did you say what EXACT gun you gott ?????

saw several of these - looked a strong action for the .410ga - I want a bolt action with the 5 round tube mag.

My impulse shot gun buy - 12ga bolt action - 5 shot tube magg - $53 Gun Broker 2am - . Cost more to get it into CA and dros it. Some who owned it fancied himself the ZODIACK. Maybe his wife liked the ZODIACK. Sears had an ingraving machine back then.
