I think the chinese kidnapped him and are forcing him to turn over his mag extension technology.

He ripped off a bunch of people -- took their money but did not send them their mag extensions. Then he went into hiding like a chicken-****, and no longer posts on this forum or others (where he owes people money).

Similar to the Ben Cannon <> GPal fiasco.

Oh shucks. Wouldn't been nice to have one of these.

That's f'ed up. This isn't the first time I've seen someone do this... On this other forum I'm apart of, a bunch of people sent some money to this member so they can have custom rock sliders and he too dropped off the face of the earth.

As for getting money back from max100, I'm sure there was an email or address people sent to... Hunt the sob down.

You can mount it either way. And it goes both on the mag tube and the barrel per instructions.

The tri-rail was around $25 bucks. And the light mount was around $15.

Im not so sure but I've never see a weaver mount above the barrel like that. How much did you pick the picatanny rail up for?

As for the mag extension, I was searcing online and came across a forum that had extensions where the mag lined up perfect with the barrel. I like this one a lot and Im gonna search around for this thing.

Heres a picture from the forum.

Cool thanks for the replies guys. I really want to do so much but at the same time I don't. As for the heat shield is there much of a difference it really makes? Other than the obvious what else are it's benefits?

IMO, it's the first upgrade one should make for any HD shotgun!
                1) It's cheap
                2) It virtually eliminates the "hot barrel" problem

Looks cool too if you're into that kind of thing, but point 2) is most important for me.

Hi. New guy. I noticed you guys keep mentioning max100. I actually saw that guy on another forum while they were talking about the Hawk. I have been doing some looking and am thinking about getting a Hawk from a local shop. And, about max 100, try http://www.firearmstalk.com

I heard maxx100 burned a lot of people. Until his Rep comes back, I would forget about him.

This tends to get ignored here, but make sure you understand 922r before you go making any mods to an imported shotgun. 10 years in federal prison isn't worth it for a magazine extension or a pistol grip.

To answer the above questions, the mag extension is a Wilson Combat. I bought mine at Brownells. The Houe forend was a little tough to install as the 982 slide tube is slightly larger in dia than an 870 tube. You can sand away a little on the inside of the Hogue and test fit, or do what I did. I used a 1/2" plastic sprinkler coupling and a light hammer to tap the tube into the forend. You will need to be real careful as you go, because you can end up with the forend canted off center.
The reason I stated the only extension available was the +1 was because I am aware of the Max100 situation and decided to leave him out of the conversation.
Here is a photo of my 982 in its' latest iteration:

Looks like mine only I have the knoxx recoil stock. I will have to get that magazine extention you got though. Do you have a direct link for it?

That's a real nice gun you have here Wyatt. I pretty much imagine mine to look like that except to have the Knoxx stock since I can't afford the Mesa.
