Did mine a while back, I like it!!

Trigger group moved, bolt mods done, extra gas port drilled the other two enlarged, HK sights welded on (careful on the front! dont warp the gas area) AK stock, vents milled in handguard, original Russian sling, Kings puck, Kings brake, gunfixers gas regulator, bang bang! Since these pics I've added a Tromix bolt handle

Not sure why but the S-12 looks tiny here

Calgunner ElDiabloRobitico in action, note lack of muzzle rise, he's SO manly

    HK sights just for fun

      yes this is true
but there is no way for you to legally own anything over 10 rounds for the s-12
because it did not exist pre 2000

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That stock may be fugly, but it works.

This is correct. You could also have found the magazine, or someone could have unknowingly sold you the magazine and you would be good to go.

During a conversion, at what point is it legal to remove the maglock to relocate the trigger guard?

Here's a pic of mine - not converted yet, but still very comfortable and fun to shoot. I purposely made it big and obnoxious, because I think it's funny - it sure does turn some heads.

In order to add the pistol grip without doing the conversion for 922r compliance, you can't have more than 5 rounds in the fixed magazine, correct?
Look under definition of "semiautomatic assault weapon"
                              BUT
there doesn't seem to be any prohibition on removing the buttstock altogether since it wouldn't have a folding/telescoping stock and would still meet OAL requirements- right?
