I'd like to hear some feedback. I shot one this past weekend and all it did with the 10 round mag was jam and misfeed......with the 5 round mag it worked okay but still had the occasional jam. Is this typical? I'm interested in buying one but not if this is the regular behavior.

I would say this is not typical in my experience. Need more information though, what type of 5 and 10 rd mags were they? what type of ammo? wat number was the gas setting on? -
mags are important, some after market 10rders suck.
they also require a break-in period
I can fast fire mine with 10 rounders with either bulk federal birdshot or buck or slugs and it wont jam. Using the green winchester bulk birdshot and it may jam once in a while. No real issues with the high brass ones.
I do have some slight mods, like polished the bolt, swapped in a aftermarket gas plug, and cleaned up the gas ports and made all 4 functional. But I can run it 90% reliably on the very low gas setting, and 100% if I match it per ammo.

Mine works fine with my 10 rounders & slug & 00buck . I just got 200 rounds of birdshot to test my gas system with my new Tac47 gas plug .Comment

As a Saiga 12 owner and knowing alot about these particular type of firearms, i can say with confidence that aside from the Izhmash mags that they come with, if you are NOT using AGP magazines you are wasting both time and money!
As per any other proplems you may encounter, I can also tell you that these guns DO NOT, repeat DO NOT like Walmart Winchester bulkpack ammo, unless however you have the gun properly tuned.
my advise to you is to get some AGP mags, to start off with, but if you have any other questions, feel free to PM me for additional suggestions...

Absolutely! If you are in the market for the VERY BEST Defense shotgun money can buy. There is a lot you can do with and too them, and I do a lot of conversion work to Saiga's so, if you need a hand when you get yours let me know and we can work something out..Comment

what is a "V" plug? I think riflegear has them & I want to get one too - so after the break in period it should be running without any jams?? I also saw that Atlantic firearms (another contributer here like riflegear) has the Saiga's all decked out and pretuned, they just send it to FFL -> any thoughts or suggestions?
in re: to the walmart 100 round pack - stay away from the winchester rounds & get the Federal bulk packs (same price) my cuz's 870 always jams up with those winchester but not the federal - my mossberg dont care what I feed her
(my semi-auto barreta dont care either)

I can almost guarantee that they dont tune the gas system at all...that requires a lot of extensive R&D and there is only one place in the country that I know of that actually takes the time to do it right.Comment
