Benelli Nova Misfire

Think they would buy it back?
Can't help but not trust them the first thing I buy from them and the first two rounds I put in it misfired. I know all companies have faults **** happens but I've also had experiences to the point where I buy one of something it fails I buy another and have issues as well. The pattern has to end somewhere.

No they won't. Either get it fixed by Benelli, or sell it.

Mis read where another member posted this is normal. So it is just wearing in I had a hunch but it look bad... And given my issues I couldn't help but jump to the conclusion something isn't true inside the receiver or anything along those lines when you see parts worn like that with so little use. I don't think it's the direct cause of the misfires but I think that something not being true or aligned properly inside or the reciever itself or something along those lines is. Regardless this doesn't look normal but this is also my first polymer gun and my first benelli shotgun.

No that's normal, mine has the same thing. Once your shotgun is broken in the metal rails will be fully exposed.

But just to be clear when you said rails fully exposed I assume you mean where the bolt rides? what about the area circled in red?

Mine are showing a bit in the circled area.

Seriously, you need to run 250+ rounds through it before you should worry. Even if you have some misfires just keep shooting.

Your bolt rotates and locks into place so no need to worry about being out of alignement.

Weak hammer spring maybe? Either way Benelli will fix it if it doesn't get better.

Well so far I've put 75 rounds through it no misfires after a thorough cleaning perhaps that's all it was *knock on wood*

I'd expect the ammo first so like people said try some other brands if you still have problems call Benelli and send it back (they are really good about fixing stuff under warranty)

Ok well I had no misfires on Winchester or Federal target and game loads just a few cycling issues. That gouge is longer though but dirbiker says his is wearing a little there too... anyone else with this gun have wear like that as bad as mine?
I'm new to polymer guns so I'm uncertain what to look for as far as wear patterns I understand as parts move they will break in and function better but just have nothing to personally reference too.
As long as it goes click click and boom i'm not terribly concerned if this is my only issue is an ugly inside of my receiver.
I also don't know whats rubbing on it. I don't think it's the bolt is it the shells?

One thing you need to understand is your receiver isn't polymer it's steel thats been coated in polymer.

All the strength and rigidity comes from the steel the polymer is just for weather and corrosion resistance.
