    Which shotgun and why?

    Rem 870, winchester 1300, or FN?

          Of the three choices, the 870 for sure...for all the reasons professorhard mentioned!!!

              okay. I have narrowed to 870 from my threads than reading what others have said about 1300....., than looking at fn slp model..., I want to make sure before I buy.

                          No mossy 500?

                          But I have two 870 and I love them just as much as my m500, just the safety swith is more convie t on the m500 then the 870 "shotty"

                              IMO the 1300 is the best of the low-buck shotguns. HOWEVER... The aftermarket kinda sucks for it, so if you want to ninja it all out, the 870 is probably the best. But the 1300 does feel way better built.

                                              yes. I am considering that later for semi gun.

                                              Now, and i should have clarified, looking to pump first I think than semi.

                                                  Your choice, that's how I got two 870. Hehe one was my first shotgun(like you, it was my kid dream gun) and the other because I wanted to ninja it out so I can pass my first gun to my son in it's original form.

                                                      I have a Winchester 1200 Defender. Unfortunately, I now have to look for a turkey and pheasant gun and I don't think one over/under is going to cover both.
