    Shotgun for 3 Gun

I am going to shoot 3 gun soon and I am looking for a new shotgun. I like the saiga 12 but I think that it requires a bullet button, making it worthless, IMO.

Do you folks have any suggestions for a good tactical shotgun for 3 gun, which is CA friendly?

Benelli M1. Works perfect for open and tatical.
Getting a Saiga to run is hard to do...$ Not much advantage either.

          +1.

Can't go wrong with this setup. Rob is da shizzil on Benelli's or Bevin Grams. But Bevin is a wait.

Benelli M1/M2 field or tactical. People usually opt for the field.

I love my Browning Gold.. though people always comment on how pretty the wood is on the stock..

I definitely like the speed feed feature.. Gun unloaded, shove a shell into the mag, the gun loads it into the chamber and you keep loading till full.. none of the "one into the side, press button to load, then stuff them into the mag tube.." though I am likely in the minority.. In my case it's train as you use it in the real world where the 'real world' is the Duck blind or the field.

Sarge the idea of the Gold's loading is great, and many people have tried them........Then they buy a Benelli. The Golds don't have a good reputation for longevity/reliability.

I've seen some open shooters trying the Berreta 3901? Time will tell how it holds up and shoots. If you shoot alot you need a gun that doesn't need much maintenance.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

That does sound like a nice feature -- but you know shooting your shotgun dry in 3-gun is a cardinal sin!! So you shouldn't ever have to use that speed feed feature!

It's not a big deal with a gold when they work. It can give you an advantage because you may shoot 9 rounds without having to do a chamber load. If there is a 9 target array you can shoot all 9 and load as you would if you'd shot 8 and loaded.

The guns just don't hold up. Reliability first accuracy second then ease of use.

I have been running the 1100CM, have had issues. I have been looking at the FN, for the money a good choice. I still think the Benelli is over priced, and people do have problems with them also.

No arguement on the Benelli having its problems. Its still the best of the best.

+1 for FNH SLP ! Great gun, soft shooting, great sights, screw in chokes.

I've seen SLPs with issues as well and even if it's a nice and smooth shooting shotgun, my money is still on Benelli.

A lot of the top shooters are still running M1s and doing great and you can get a used M1 for $700-800.
