Benelli and mossberg do belong in the same sentence. There is no comparison. You get what you pay for.

I recently bought the mossberg 930 waterfoul gun for about 530 bucks out the door. so far i've only shot clays with it and it works really great for that. the gun is really great at reducing recoil with the ported barrel, and the nice rubber recoil pad. so far the only problem i've had is it seems to get gummed up really easily with powder residue or something, and it starts loading really slow, im not sure if its just because its a new gun and it needs to be broken in or if its just a crap gun. I'm new to shotguns so im still figuring things out myself.

I bought my Mossberg 500 from Big5 for around 300 bucks. Came with 18" and 28" barrel. I love it. Never had any problems with it.
