This country needs more independent thinkers and fewer followers. If a few generals and admirals had stood up to LBJ and told him what they had told each other, and carried out the muted threats to resign, the war might have never been fought or would have been fought more intelligently. Ditto for the Iraq war, ditto for Detroit building clunkers and losing market share because too many blind loyalists didn't want to tell them the truth, that their cars stank and needed to be better.

Start thinking for yourself. It doesn't take any guts to tell off the politicians you hate. It takes big brass ones to get up on your hind feet and tell the ones you like that they are screwing up and that you won't vote for them if they keep on screwing up. Telling them you will vote for them regardless of how much they screw up is betraying America.
