The specs won’t open for me, is the 20 in a smaller/lighter frame? Painted metal or matte blued, anyone know?

It would be a fun rabbit gun in .410…But only if it’s in a smaller/lighter 20 frame.

The Bros note a .410 offering, but the Weatherby page only list 12 and 20 currently.

Both gauges have 28" barrels.

Looks like a little more than 1/2 a pound difference between the two.

Assuming they use the same steel for both barrel sets, can they shave that much weight off just the barrels for the 20 and use the same receiver?

Or does that mean the receiver has been scaled down?

EDIT: Hoping the .410 becomes a reality.

With ejectors, I just pop them into my palm held behind the breech. Then they go in my empty shell bag.

I have an older (60's) Beretta 20g with extractors. While it's OK, I do prefer ejectors.

Looks good to me, I've been wanting to pick up a new SxS for cowboy action shooting, so extractors and splinter fore end work for me. But at $1100 bucks I'll probably just pick up a CZ that I know people can work on.

Well yeah, for cowboy action shooting, it would suffice. It?s nothing special and that?s what surprises me with the Weatherby name.

Current Weatherby Orion O/U's don't really seem that special either.
They are probably good guns and they are sold at Bass Pro for $900 to $1100.

I doubt there's enough demand for a Weatherby SxS at a higher price point.
I would bet they will sell far less SxS's as compared to their O/U's.
They've got to keep the cost down, in order to compete with CZ and Savage/Stevens.

It will be interesting to me, to see what the street price will be (although my LGS sells at MSRP).

I have a new-to-me kitchen table FFL that only charges $50 which includes the DROS fee and his city/county sales tax (Napa) is only 7.75%, it makes shopping all the USA on Gunbroker a breeze especially when a lot of GB sellers offer free freight.

Then you won't be buying one. Weatherby has never "made" a shotgun. A majority of their MKV and all their cheaper rifles are also imports.
