    Beretta A300 Patrol

This is like the 1301 lite. Under $1K? May end up knocking the 1301 off the pedestal in terms of popularity.

May the Bridges I burn light the way.

Life Is Not About Waiting For The Storm To Pass - Its About Learning To Dance In The Rain.

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

Wow I paid $1100 for my variable choke 1301 at Sportsman's only two years ago. I guess Beretta finally realized they are as good as their Benelli M4 !!

Also I thought I heard him say that the "this part of the top of the gun" meaning the receiver top is compatible with 1301 stuff. I don't know if that includes foregrip etc.

If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

It's probably only milliseconds slower than the blink system. I'd like to see the actual time difference.
Being on target for follow up shots is probably more important than saving a few milliseconds.
I don't think it will matter to me.

But this is all speculation on my part and I could be talking out the wrong orifice, as I've never taken a defensive shotgun course.

Additionally, I prefer the straight stock.

If the 1301 costs in the neighbor hood of 50% more than the A300, I'll probably choose the A300.

I'd like to see video of all these Calgunners that claim they can outrun a modern semi shotgun. Heck, my Benelli 121M1 is like 40 years old and you'd need to be JM to outrun it.

Makes sense, inflation has hit the cost of the 1301 and so introduce a new cheaper to produce model to fill the previous price point. A300 action is definitely reliable enough to rely on. Looks like a good seller, and strong competitor to the mossberg.

It's not like they are available yet.
Start saving and by the time the initial feeding frenzy is over, you can get one.
If there is something you have that you don't shoot, sell it to get the latest new shiny matte or camo bauble.

Glad I picked up my 1301 T when I did last year. I only paid $1,299 for it but then dropped a bundle on Aridus toys and other stuff for it. Great guns and there is a nice community of people here like Ocean Bob who taught us how to trick them out. A300 looks sweet and a smart move by Beretta, this will definitely take a bite out of Mossberg's sales of the 930/940, which a lot of people buy because they're significantly cheaper than the 1301 T. The tactical shotgun market has been heating up!

                          Seriously digging the Tiger Stripe.

Don't know if I should have my 1301 cerakoted (because I really like the PG), or buy an A300 in TS.

I know the CG answer is "Buy the A300!!" haha

i was already researching the 1301 because i planned on buying it. Guess i'll be waiting for the A300 instead. Cheaper and i doubt i'll be needing to replace anything with aftermarket parts.
