I have a lead on 8lbs of Alliant Pro Reach if anyone is interested. I loaded a bunch of 20 gauge 7/8 ounce shells for sporting clays and trap. They get the job done. I would not advise for 12 gauge.

Seems all the 20ga loads are 7/8oz and 1300fps or faster.
All the 12ga loads listed are 1-1/8 ~ 1-3/8oz starting at 1350fps...OUCH!!!

I don't do the hunting thing, so it's of no use to me.
Since all I do is target stuff, Clay Dot, WSF and Titegroup will have to work for me. But then, I only have about 20lbs, so what the future brings...who knows

Just a couple of thoughts. Skeet can be shot with 32" barrels, Skeet can be shot with just about anything. If your scores are important to you, you will at some point look into maximizing your equipment and getting shorter barrels is a good place to look. Adding weight to the butt of the gun doesnt make the gun lighter, it makes it heavier. It does move the balance point further back which might make you think the barrels are lighter but they aren't. The illusion will wear off soon enough and you will just have a heavier gun. By the way maintaining focus for 25 shots is easy, maintaining it for 100 shots is where it starts to get hard.
