OK look out,, cuz I started actively Shooting Skeet again 3 weeks ago. Hadn't shot in nearly 3 years as I was doing other types of shooting. The Front Sight Shotgun Classes really made shooting a pump gun feasible for Skeet
We have been shooting on Thursday morning at the Ojai Valley Gun Club Facility in Rose Valley above Ojai CA. I normally shoot skeet with a Browning Citori Sporting Clays Edition 32" in .410 , or my Ithaca M37 12 ga.
Shooting once a month wasn't going to get me where i needed to go and then my gun seized up one hot day and I was completely destroyed.
$250 later at Pacific Sporting Arms It was as good as new, actually better, as the gun was super tight from the factory and was still tight after nearly 1000 rounds. That and a slight lapse in lubrication is all it took to lock it up and gall the hinge. I had the gun smith there loosen the hinge up slightly and it runs real nice now. Better than new.
So I've shot 3 times as of today and today started out well with a 19/25 Then on the second round I just plain sucked. Was getting too much help from the peanut gallery. Seems the more I think about a shot the worse I get.
Anyway it was still a good time, and I will improve faster by shooting every week instead of once a month.
So Look out all you So Cal guys because many from my club go down to Northern LA venues I hear you talk about, and sooner or later I'll be there as well.
