    Marine shotguns

Which marine shotgun would you pick, and why?

I'm looking at the 870 Marine Magnum, the 590 Mariner or 590a1 mariner, and the Winchester SXP marine.

Benelli M4 H2O if you want semi, have the scratch and can even find one. Otherwise 590A1 if you want pump.

The thing with marine shotguns is that I think All the internal metal parts should be chrome-plated plated, cerakoted or otherwise protected from a high moisture / salt water based environment, instead of just the outside surface areas.

I believe some of the lower-end marine shotguns are just for show with just silver/chrome on the outside.

If I were to have a real wash n wear firearm I'd get it all coated inside and out. ALL the parts.

Otherwise it's back to self applied wax/grease/oil or secret sauce that seems to work.

I have a 590a1 mariner. Very good shotgun. I wasn’t a huge fan of the stock so I picked up a Hogue.

I bought this 870 Marine Magnum in order to ward off that swampy humid tropical weather the inland empire is famous for.

And this is all you need. Personally, never liked all the razzle dazzle on some of these HD shotguns. Too much weight and stuff hanging off of them. Just my opinion, that is all. Likin' BR's version.
