To anyone else who is in the market for a relatively inexpensive (compared to Browning) but hopefully high quality shotgun, Henry Repeating Arms (famous for lever guns) is due to start shipping a new line of single shot shotguns starting next month in May. They are made in the USA and have a MSRP of $427.

Checked out the gun and it felt good. Good budget over under. I ended up getting a good deal on a ppt of a browning cynergy from a buddy of mine. He was selling it because it didn't fit him right.

Anyone on here have any tips for fitting a shotgun or know where in the LA area to go for help? The cynergy is a composite stock with adjustable comb and cast.

Come out and play with us. The guys I shoot with are master gunsmiths, gun fitters, and nsca certified instructors.

They'll get you pointed in the right direction.

Remington makes shotguns (except for the ones Baikal made for them) .

Beretta makes shotguns.

Mossberg makes shotguns (except their "silver" over/unders, which are Turkish-made.)

FN and Miroku make Browning and Winchester shotguns.(except the old Winchester 101's which were made by Olin/Kodensha). The current Winchesters are almost all FN. The Brownings are mostly Miroku.

Weatherby does not make shotguns.(their new autos are Turkish, the over/unders are mostly Fausti these days, the old Orions were SKB's/Japanese guns, the Athenas were made in different places)

Legacy does not make shotguns(they import Turkish-made ones) .
