Is the index finger pointing forward on the support hand the tactical equivalent to thumb over bore on an AR?

No, it keeps your left elbow under the bore of the gun, and prevents you from having a flying chicken (left elbow above the bore ) gun mount.

She had shot a Perazzi. I remember my friend told me how it got stolen out of her car about 10 years ago while shopping. They got it back later when police found it in someone's home. It was the one she learned on and stuck with.

I know that she still was shooting her Perazzi in Dec. '06 because, my stepson and I happened to see her practicing one day right after Christmas. The coach that was present saw us watching in the background, stopped the practice, waved us over and introduced us to the three members of the US Shooting Team who were practicing. He even had Kim hand her shotgun to my stepson to hold. I think it was a few months after that that it was stolen.
