Mossberg 500 Accessories

So learning about the chokes, it looks like I can get different barrels for the Mossberg 500, if I really wanted them, later down the line.

I will look into the limbsaver.....

Get the shotgun hard into the pocket of your shoulder.
Lean into it.
Keep the shotgun on your shoulder while firing, your whole body will absorb recoil.
Keep your head down on the stock while your'e firing.

Yes, the Mossberg 500 is light. It's one of the reasons I don't care for them.

Did your gun come with screw in chokes?

The 'pumkin puncher' is a thing that screws onto an extended mag tube that has spikey bits in the front to a) look intimidating and b) give you some purchase on door frams and act as a stand off device for breaching doors. Since I doubt you'll be breaching doors, you could probably pass on the pumkin puncher.

But, but, but, what about non-lethal applications, isn't it good for that? Have a friend take a shotgun, any old shotgun with a normal barrel and no 'standoff device' and ram it into your teeth. Now as you are bleeding and picking up teeth do you really think it would be much more effective with the spikey thing on front?

Nope, I don't have chokes in either of mine.

The only other gun I am really familiar with is a loaded M16.... and to me, that just felt lighter.... Eventhough looking at the specs, was quite a bit heavier
