Yes it was new in box and they had tons of them instock. Unless you have Law Enforcement credentials you are outta luck. There maybe a shortage in normal stores but the government contract ones are just as well stocked as ever. I had'nt been there post Obama so I thought they would be low...and boy was I wrong...I even called to make sure they had one in stock and he almost laughed.

I got mine < $1474 2 months ago... NIB, retail. Seems like anything greater than 1400 is goooood profit.

I got a black one for $1599 a couple weeks ago from a place in Florida. Not a great price but I was just happy to find one in stock. Called a couple dozen places in CA with no luck and they had ones on gunbroker selling for $1800+.

I have modified a couple M2's to be able to ghost load.
You can't do it as they come out of the box though.

I don't know if the M4's use the old style carrier or the new style carrier.
The new style just need to be modified to pull off that trick.

Found out last night the dept armorer will install the +2 extension when he inspects the shotgun. I have to get departmental approval to install the extension and if I am no longer employed by them I must remove the extension or else be in violation of 18 USC 922(r).

Should I have him put on a surefire m910A vertical foregrip weapon light or a x300? Also anyone know a good deal on a surefire m80 railed foreend?

Already going to get a progressive machine and tool lightweight charging handle and dave's metal works overside safety button.

So LEO's, w/ dept. approval, can ignore the 922(r) US made parts game?

Yes...however I was notified that I could not perchase the skeleton stock for it or else violate 922(r). The guy told me it's a department only order and must be owned by the department. When I attend the training I will be authorized on the first day to install the +2 extension.

Here's something else you might consider since you're spending money on your new M4.

One guy walks over to the black rifle area and starts gazing. An employee asked him if he knew what he wanted. The guy answered "Not sure......definitely something black.............and short...............and tactical."
